Hi friends! I just wanted to share with you some interesting facts about the seasons in my country, Nigeria. Since my Nursery years I was taught that season is the change of weather at a particular time. As a tropical country, Nigeria mainly have two seasons - the rainy season and the dry season. The rainy season from April to July and September to November brings heavy downpours, while the dry season from December to March comes with harmattan winds, which make the mornings and evenings cold and everything dusty and dry.

How Many Seasons Are In Your Country? Which One Is Your Favorite And Why?
  • Rainy Season.
  • Dry Season.

Here in Nigeria we experience a variety of weather conditions due to our diverse geography and climate. I live in the southern part of our country, along the coast, the climate here is characterized by high temperatures and humidity. we often experience heavy downpours throughout the year, with two different rainy seasons from April to July and September to November. We experience dry season from December to March, the sun ☀️ is usually dry and it comes with harmattan, morning and evening are normally cold, and everywhere will be dusty, windy, and dry.

Moving northward, the weather becomes progressively drier, culminating in the arid conditions of the far northern regions. In these areas, they don't experience heavy rainfall, it rains occasionally in this part of our country and temperatures can soar, especially during the dry season from November to March. Harmattan winds, usually blow in from the Sahara Desert, making everywhere dry and dusty.

In all, Nigeria's weather conditions vary from region to region, in coastal areas like mine we're experiencing high humidity and rainfall, while northern and inland areas are experiencing hotter temperatures. So if you're planning to visit my country soon or planning any outdoor activities.

If There Was One Season You Wanted To Skip Forever, Which One Would It Be? Explain The Reason.

Sincerely speaking I love all these seasons, and I can't even think of letting go of one For example, I normally enjoy the lush greenery and cooler temperatures during rainy weather, the landscapes normally revitalize, everything blooming, and the beautiful flowers 🌺 🌹 plants and grasses make everywhere lively.

I also like the dry set, especially the cooler temperatures during the harmattan it's normally comfortable, and cheerful. Eventful activities usually happen during the dry season it's the celebration 🎊 period. We depend on both, but my favorite is the Harmattan season because I can carry out many fun outdoor activities without fear of rainfall. No potholes etc. Overall, each season offers its unique charms and challenges.

Describe A Traditional Or Special Activity That People In Your Country Do During A Particular Season.

Each season has its unique charms and challenges. During the rainy season, people love engaging in water-based activities like swimming, canoe riding, and yacht sailing. I personally Embrace the opportunities it brings for adventure, relaxation, and quality time with friends and most especially loved ones.

On the other hand, the dry season is the time for exciting events and festivals like the Calabar carnival and the new yam festival. Villages used to organize inter-football sports, and most people normally fixed their traditional marriages during this season.

Are There Any Special Foods Or Drinks That People In Your Country Enjoy Most During Certain Seasons? If So, What Is It And Why?

When it comes to food, our preferences vary depending on the prevailing weather conditions. During the hot and dry season, we prefer lighter meals and fruits like watermelon, cucumber, and coconut water to stay hydrated and refreshed. However, during the rainy season, we crave comforting dishes like traditional stews and soups that are hearty and filling.

Regardless of the season, we used to enjoy some foods year-round due to their popularity and availability. Staple foods like rice, beans, yams, and plantains are eaten in various forms throughout our country and can be adapted to suit different weather conditions by adjusting our cooking methods and ingredients.

While there are no strict rules about which foods to eat in specific seasons we often adjust our diets based on the climate to ensure they are comfortable and well-nourished.

I hope you found this information helpful and interesting!

You have cold weather in the morning and at night during the dry season

Yes, and it's the wind from the Sahara desert that used to cause the harmattan, and it normally makes plantations fruitful. Thanks for visiting me.

Hello dear, I wish to you to be in peace and living their best moments of life.

Due to rain, the roads get filled with mud and water and it becomes difficult to walk on the roads. It seems as if everyone is imprisoned in their homes. Therefore, the dry season is the best. You are right that our desires keep changing from time to time. In summer, we like to drink very cold juice.

Best of luck , may you achieve wealth , health , success and prosperity in your life Greetings from my side . Have a nice day .
