Steemit does not pay out low valued posts

in #steemit9 years ago (edited)

Hey folks, how are you?

I have spent around one week and a half on Steemit, and I am loving it.
I am posting at least once a day, and I'm trying to be a good member of the community. There are so many things I have learnt already and many others left to learn.
Besides building up contacts my plan is to hire the randowhale, so my posts can get some more attention due to the higher price pool. I do not really care about earning SBD-s at this point, but want to get as much SP as possible. Every 0,1 cent counts at this point.

It always gives me the good feels when I get some random curation rewards, but my favorite one is to watch the timer running down and see how much value can I get out of my articles as an author. Unfortunately, none.
Being a minnow means that if you don't have a supporter you will have a damn hard time getting some upvotes and cents on your posts. And if I get it, often happens, that the few cents disappear  in the very last minutes. Seriously, 20 minutes before the pay-out the post stands on  2 cents, and than after pay-out 0.00$. I had 5 of these after each other, which is really annoying. I will try more and keep on doing my best, but it is really annoying that I don't see progress even though I am working.

Here is the print screen of my recent 4 esport article payouts:

This was just a crybaby post I know, but I really wanted to mention this as an issue. If there are some votes on your post you should get at least 0.001 sbd and sp or something like that. :)

@randowhale often results in at least a profit. Best way to get yourself some more attention is to engage in others posts.

Thank you for your advice! I will definitely engage more towards others.
Also, my hobby is esport and League of Legends video gaming. Do you think it would make a point to create a discord group (since there is no such yet) for my fellow gamers and support each other trough it? I've been told by some other users that it wouldn't make any sense, since there would be only minnows - and they can't boost each other. The only way to rise is to find a whale mentor/supporter they said.
But I still believe that the chat-group could be a good idea, at least for entertaining reasons.

There is plenty of discord channels related to the Steemit platform with different topics already. Perhaps you could start a hashtag on one of those channels. Check out @minnowsupport, might be of some help to you. You can also get an upvote from them for your posts.
