Victor Vran: just slightly a copy of other games
Have you ever played Diablo? Well if so then you have already played Victor Vran. If you know the story of Van Helsing at all then you already know the story for the most part.
Does Blizzard just not care anymore if people copy their game? I suppose I don't really care either but you only need to play VV for about 2 minutes to get that old nostaligic feeling of playing Diablo 2 or Torchlight or probably a myriad of other games out there. People argue that Diablo copied Ultima and Ultima copied D&D etc. In a way yes, that is true, but i think the similarities in this game compared to Diablo is just too exactly the same.
I played Diablo 2 and Torchlight a LOT, and that is likely why I gave up on Victor Vran in 2 hours because it's the same thing. I suppose I shouldn't complain too much because the game was only $3 but still.
getting attacked by a million spiders at once seems to be a recurring theme
Similarities to Diablo and Torchlight
- the musical style is exactly the same
- the click click click click kill is the same
- the absurdly huge inventory is actually a bit more ridiculous because why wouldn't you be able to carry 6 shotguns, 4 swords, a battle axe, and 5 scythes
- smashing up of urns and opening sarcophagus to obtain potions and more weapons
- being able to carry 100 potions and use them in rapid succession while swinging a two handed battle-hammer
- the overall dark ambiance
- the random generation of mini bosses in various places
- shopkeepers that sell trash weapons nowhere near as good as the ones you randomly discover
Differences
- you can jump
- you can rotate the camera
They actually did a very good job on this trailer, which is why i shelled out the $3. Well done, marketing team!
I have been told the multiplayer is great mindless fun so if you enjoy that sort of thing I suppose this could be a good way to use three bucks. Other than that though, I can see no reason to get involved in this.
Victor Vran works well if we want to spend few hours in the fight against hordes of monsters, but it's also rewarding in smaller doses, when we fell like one challenge is enough. I think it's a successful 'Diablo clone', with enough differences to attract even the veterans of hack'n'slash genre. However, it needs some unique moments to make it a truly memorable experience.
Thats my game before when I was in college, its a long journey defeating those monsters in the way but unfortunately I havent finished it to the end. Truly its almost same with Diablo game with added few upgrades. Maybe they will be sued for copyright infringement. lol

I loved that game, Diablo, why on earth would you plagiarise soo poorly like that😂, for their cheat i ll rate 3 but i may just play it because is similar to Diablo 2
After watching the video and reading about the similarities. I rightly say that Victor Vran and Diabolo 2 are one and the same games. The graphic difference is just one thing separating them. Whao victor Vran seems a very exciting game from the trailer and that image. But the fact that it is a copy makes me a bit confused about whether i should play it or not coz i already play diablo 2. Still i will try to have some glances of the game. Keep up the good work @gooddream.
