I just had the best cupcakes in America
I am sure that a lot of people can say that "this pizza place is the best in the world" or "these cookies are the greatest ever" and well, that is is great and all, perhaps you even agree with them. However, the place that I had the "best cupcakes in "America" were rated as such by the Food Network on a show called "Cupcake Wars."
I am not a sweet-tooth guy plus i try to avoid carbs, but when a place is rated as the best in the USA and you are not horribly allergic to whatever they are selling, I feel as though you are obligated to at least try it.
I didn't make this trip specifically for cupcakes, I would never do that for any sort of food, except maybe pizza and even then if it was more than 30 minutes i wouldn't. I am here visiting someone I have known for many years. I have never even heard of Cupcake Wars because I don't have a TV subscription. But anyway, we went in and got a half dozen (they are expensive, as you might expect.)
We got pumpkin latte, Snickers, and Maple something or other. They were all fantastic, as you would expect. However, i think a vast majority of the flavor comes from the incredible icing but since i know very little about baking it seems to me that the icing would be much more versatile than the cake.
Overall I would say they were good, but since I am not a sweets guy I can say that I wouldn't return to pay $3 a cupcake - but I can understand why some people would.
So if you ever find yourself in Morehead City, North Carolina (and why wouldn't you) go get the best cupcakes in the country while you are there :)
Well ! You should obviously try the "best cup cakes in America!" Why not?
After seeing the cakes, I was feeling hungry too man! Looking very delicious.
If you can run a mile extra, you should definitely go for the winner of the cup cake wars!

I reckon I am going to have to run more than a few miles after this trip. I have been doing very little exercise and eating whatever i want :)
Oh man.... these look insane. Woah. I tell you what (as you may know) after spending so long in Asia the craving for western food is real! I love Asian food but sometimes I would love to have something familiar! Luckily I am going to San Francisco in about 3 weeks 😀 man I’m going to eat good. I’m already planning my first few days based purely upon eating 😂
that is what i do every time i go back to USA from Asia. it's all about food food food :)
Will get that cupcake If I got a chance to come to America . @gooddream , I think 3$ is not a big deal if cupcake is your favourite.
