Adam Sandler 100% Fresh (Netflix Special): I laughed so much i had tears in my eyes
I have to say that I was extremely apprehensive to watch this and only did so because it was suggested after I watched "Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping" (more on that later.) I realized about 20 minutes into it that I don't think I have ever watched an Adam Sandler stand-up special before. Are there any? I presume there are. I was only going to watch about 10 minutes of it because I had to be somewhere. I have now watched so much of it I am half an hour late and will be even later because now I am writing this.
Perhaps it is just because I really enjoy comedy of this extremely silly type but I can't remember the last time I laughed so much. I mean, it is really something else. Mostly it focuses on little musical numbers with absurd lyrics and I don't even want to try to mimick any of it because as anyone who appreciates Sandler knows, a great deal of what makes him funny isn't what he says but it is in the WAY that he says it.

One of the interesting things about how they presented the entire special is that while it is one continuous show, it takes place on many different stages ranging from the NYC subway where he is busking in disguise, to very small clubs, all the way to an enormous auditorium that I presume is something like Carnegie Hall.

I dunno how to explain it and I am not even going to try but I feel as though everyone out there needs to know that this exists because I just laughed and laughed and laughed. The women in the shop working downstairs are probably wondering what the hell is going on up here because the audio is only coming through my bluetooth headphones.

If you have Netflix, and it is my understanding that most people do - watch this right away. If you end up not liking it i would be surprised, or perhaps you have a more grown-up sense of humor than I (or Sandler) do. In the meantime this is one of my favorite things I have watched in a while.
I am a HUGE Sandler fan.. Didn't know this existed. Siked to watch it. I know someone who despises him. They are a hater of great comedy. I really think they're jealous that they are such an un- humorous douche bag who would rather watch the news and paint dry! 10/10?? sweet!
i haven't laughed this uncontrollably and been sober at the same time in a long while. It is that good.
I'm taking time off between Christmas and New Years day.. This is on my list of things to do while vegging out! Thanks for the suggestion.
If you've never heard them, check out Sandlers comedy albums from the 90s. They can get pretty profane and gross but there are some hilarious bits. Its not stand up albums, but audio skits and songs.
Lots of quotable bits too.
Wow now that is a great review. I always got a kick out of Adam Sandler in the first place and enjoyed his standup.
I haven’t seen this yet and the fact it is right there sitting on Netflix to be watched and you like it, slam dunk.

waoooo., although I am a fan of Adam Sandler and I see his films again and again, hehe, I did not know what he was doing that kind of shows.
For me, Adam Sandler is an excellent actor and comedian, although yes, you're right, sometimes he says a lot of nonsense, which makes them look very funny.
I have not seen the special. I will try to see it.
