Study Starts Today
Just because I don't like things in my life to be simple or easy, today is also the day that I start studying. Trimester 2 has begun and the courses have unlocked today.
So my first 2 units are MKT1007 - Fundementals of Marketing, and ACG11 - Accounting for Business.
It all looks fairly nice and segmented, each topic broken down into the individual weeks, when to start and stop the assignments etc. So even though I'm studying by correspondance, its not just a massive book to read and then test at the end. I know my wifes TAFE courses for Nurse have been very much left to your own devices and can seem very overwhelming when you start.
Thankfully 1 of the courses has the lectures as podcasts, so I can listen to those while driving, and you can move ahead with the lessons if you want to push through it harder.
I think I'll probably struggle with the initial assignments and referencing as this isn't something I'm used to, but then having pass mark only at 50% is not something I'm used to either. As a tradesman, our pass marks were 85% for all exams.
This will be interesting, but most certainly something I'm looking forward to.
