Hello amazing Steemit community!

@gogogadgetupvote here with a quick update. I am trying something new with this post. I am still offering my Free Upvote and Resteem service for #introduceyourself posts, and have been out there supporting a ton of new users. But I want to up the anti. It's kind of a contest, kind of a bounty, I am not sure what to call it. Bounty is probably the best word for it, but I think contest applies because I am going to be giving out prizes at the end as well. I am offering an upvote worth $0.10 rewards simply for commenting below with a link to a decent #introduceyourself post. I am considering increasing the reward for particularly good intros, up to a 100% Upvote (worth 40 to 50 cents depending on my voting power).

So here is the breakdown of what I am proposing.

Tons of new users join the platform every day. Good news for the platform on the whole, but not so good news for the users that just joined and have no followers or exposure for their posts. Even with fantastic content being created, the more new users we get, the harder it is for those new users to get their content seen. So I am willing to pay a reward in the form of an Upvote of users who comment with links to intro posts.

These are the rules for entering and what I am looking for.

1. ONE link per person

While I would love to reward everyone over and over again, I only get so much voting power per day, so I have to limit the number of links that one person can submit.

2. Decent introduction posts

Understand that "decent" is a relative term, and I know that most people brand new to the platform are probably not going to have the strongest posting skills. I don't mean "decent" as in they use a lot of markdown, or add tons of pictures (though pictures are pretty easy for most users, it's point and click or drag and drop). I am looking for users who actually tell us a little about themselves in a somewhat thought out manner. Intros where people are actually talking with full sentences and the post flows somewhat as you read it. I DO NOT WANT intro posts that are just a few words "Hi I'm 'such and such name here' and I am excited to earn on steemit. upvote me and I will upvote you" Or the classic "Follow for Follow". I AM looking for people who tell us a little about themselves, and maybe talk a little about what they plan to BLOG ABOUT here on the platform. Not just "I will be posting here", I want to see "THIS is WHAT I plan on talking about here". (I hope I made that understandable without being too wordy)

3. Posts no older than 2 days

In addition to Upvoting your comment, I will Upvote and Resteem the post that you link. As such, I would like posts that are not older than 2 days (2 days is okay, 3 days is too old). Resteeming a post won't do it any good if the post is too close to payout, so newer posts, please. Ideally the post is in the window of 1 day old to 2 days old. So that the post has had a chance to receive some comments, and more importantly, see if that new user is replying to those comments. Engagement is a big thing for me on this platform, and I think people should take the time to communicate with each other. If someone is welcoming you to the platform, the least you can do is acknowledge them.

4. Upvote and Resteem this post!

Your Upvote on my post gives me more power to reward new users and their posts! And Resteeming this post helps more people see it, allowing more people to enter. Then I can reward more users for their help twofold! I get more users entering, so I get to reward more comments here, and I also get to Upvote the users post I was linked to! I am up to almost 6k in voting power at the moment. That is a pretty decent chunk to Upvote those introductions with.
On a side note, it is not necessary, but Upvoting the comments of the other people who submit links to me is a good way to spread the Love and Rewards on Steemit. Anyone leaving me good links in the comments of this post is helping support new users join the platform, and we all need a little encouragement when we first get here! If you can spare a couple extra Upvotes, take a second to look at some of the posts people are linking me to and maybe show them some support, on the posts they linked, and by helping me reward the comment for linking me. Again, Upvoting the other entrants is not required, but it'd be a lot cooler if you did.

5. Be aware that I will not Upvote comments or the posts that they link if the posts do not meet these criteria.

I love to support new users and I value engagement on this platform above all else. But there is plenty enough spam here, and plenty enough people just in it for rewards. While I don't see a problem making rewards for your effort, I have seen a lot of users join the platform and not see huge rewards right away after just a few crap posts, so they quit and never post again. We don't need that kind of user, and I don't want to support them. And I have also seen people join the platform and post really good content for extended periods of time and never make more than a few cents per post. I want to support more of these kinds of users. But the worst I think is when I see a new user come on the platform and post just complete garbage, two or three words with an obviously plagiarized pic or something and make really high rewards. That is really discouraging for new users who put effort into their posts. So I try to support some of the users who are clearly putting more effort into their posts.

6. "Decent posts" and "Good posts" are terms that will ultimately be decided by me after reviewing the post you link me to.

Fear not! If you send me a link to a post that I choose not to support because it does not meet my criteria, I will reply to your comment telling you which criteria you didn't meet, and you will have a chance to submit another entry. (Only one VALID entry per person) Just because I didn't Upvote the first post you submitted doesn't mean I don't want to reward you OR the new user you pointed me to.

Okay, now that you have read me blabbing on and on, go out there and earn that bounty/reward by finding some good intros of new users! If you haven't created your own #introduceyourself post, go check out that tab, get a few ideas for your own, make one and link me to it in this post so I can reward you TWICE!
