Bitcoin is Booming Challenge | SCORUM: a lost opportunity - SCORUM: un'occasione sprecata [ENG-ITA]

Hello everyone!

Today with great pleasure I want to participate in the STEEM CRYPTO CHALLENGE proposed by @steemitblog.

I am not a miner nor a large cryptocurrency collector, my activity in the blockchain world has been almost exclusively about Steem, which is undoubtedly my main asset.

I have just over 1 Ethereum on Coinbase, then I still own around 3000 Hive tokens, including Hive, HBD and HP, with the hope that their value will increase, so that I can transfer them soon to my Steemit wallet.

I also had BLURT, about 3000 in total, which I sold just a few days ago.
I changed them to Steem and brought them here. Too bad I couldn't do it earlier, I probably could have made a higher profit. But that's okay, I got about 450 Steem that will help me to pay about two weeks of the 50K SP delegation I just got.

In addition to these well-known tokens, there is still one that I currently own and it is SCORUM (SCR).

And that's exactly what I want to talk to you about.

Scorum was the only project that really intrigued me other than Steemit, and in which I invested time and resources.

My friend @mauryis first told me about it in the summer of 2018 and it seemed to me that it could be a really nice platform.

Scorum's also started out as a blogging platform, only it was focused on sports.
Topic that I love and am really passionate about, so this feature had already caught my attention.

The points in common with Steem were many. First, built on an @busy basis, it was set up on a blockchain with its reference cryptocurrency (SCR).

So there too were SCR, Scorum Power (SP), upvotes, comments, voting power, curation...and everything you know, albeit with a few minor differences from Steem.

Furthermore, at the end of 2018 BetScorum was launched, the real novelty of the SCR blockchain and the project on which the Team had the highest expectations.

It is a 0% commission betting exchange, on which matches from many football leagues were available.

Here a user, utilizing his liquid SCR, could propose his odds and bet an amount, creating a prediction on a certain event. If then another user had bet on the opposite prediction, then the bet would be considered accepted.

I'm not a betting fanatic, but I have enjoyed using BetScorum a lot for a few months.

The idea was really nice in my opinion, but perhaps a little complicated and above all it needed a group of users organized by the Team that had many resources available and never lacked the available bets.

Unfortunately, it did not go as expected and this lack of success inevitably compromised the future developments of the platform, which slowly lost users and saw the value of the token decrease.

I was very sorry, because we had also created the Italian community there, and under the banner of Scorum-Italia a small group of friends had met, including someone who is now here with me on Steem.

Furthermore, Scorum-Italia was also the Witness node we ran and with which we did a great job, up to reaching the top 5 of the blockchain.

As for the coin, it must be said that Scorum (like Bitcoin) is a deflationary token, so only 30 million coins will be issued, not even one more.

In ICO, between February and April 2018, it was purchased for the price of $ 1.

To date, however, its value is very low: $ 0.008.

At its best, it reached a valuation of $ 0.47, but between 2019 and 2020, its value plummeted, concurrent with the failure of the betting exchange project and the blog.

I held about 25-30K tokens, but some I used to pay for the server on which the witness operated.

Others have yet to be released, as the power down is very long: it takes 12 months in total.

And so, I currently have 9164.57 SCR available on Hotbit.

I think I will sell them sooner or later, I would just wait to see if the value will go up, but I see it really difficult as a hypothesis.

Unfortunately, I don't think the prospects for this project can be positive.
Except for big surprises, of course! Then in the crypto world you never know...

In any case, I am happy to have had this experience, although it has left me with some regret, because I continue to consider Scorum as a good idea and a great lost opportunity.

Oggi con molto piacere voglio partecipare alla STEEM CRYPTO CHALLENGE proposta da @steemitblog.

Non sono un miner e neanche un grande collezionista di criptovalute, la mia attività nel mondo della blockchain ha riguardato quasi esclusivamente Steem, che è senza dubbio il mio asset principale.

Ho poco più di 1 Ethereum su Coinbase, inoltre possiedo ancora circa 3000 Hive tokens, tra Hive, HBD e HP, con la speranza che il loro valore possa aumentare, in modo da poterli utilizzare per trasferirli nel mio portafoglio Steem.

Avevo anche dei BLURT, circa 3000 in totale, che ho venduto proprio pochi giorni fa.
Li ho cambiati in Steem e li ho portati qui. Peccato non essere riuscito a farlo prima, probabilmente avrei potuto ottenere un profitto più alto. Ma non fa niente, va bene così, ho preso circa 450 Steem che mi aiuteranno a sostenere i costi per la delega di 50K SP che ho appena preso.

Oltre a questi ben noti token, ce n'è ancora uno che attualmente possiedo ed è SCORUM (SCR).

Ed è proprio di questo che vi voglio parlare.

Quello di Scorum è stato l'unico progetto che mi ha veramente intrigato oltre a quello di Steemit, e nel quale ho investito tempo e risorse.

Me ne ha parlato per la prima volta il mio amico @mauryis nell'estate del 2018 e mi è sembrato che potesse essere davvero una bella piattaforma.

Anche quella di Scorum è nata come una piattaforma di blogging, solo che era incentrata sullo sport.
Argomento che adoro e di cui sono davvero appassionato, quindi già questa caratteristica aveva attirato la mia attenzione.

I punti in comune con Steem erano tanti. Innanzitutto, costruito su base @busy, era impostato su una blockchain con la sua criptovaluta di riferimento (SCR).

Quindi anche qui c'erano SCR, Scorum Power (SP), upvotes, commenti, voting power, curation...e tutto quello che conoscete, anche se con alcune piccole differenze rispetto a Steem.

Inoltre, alla fine del 2018 è stato lanciato BetScorum, la vera novità della blockchain SCR e il progetto sul quale il Team aveva le più alte aspettative.

Si tratta di un exchange di scommesse con 0% di commissioni, sul quale erano disponibili partite di tantissimi campionati di calcio.

Qui un utente, utilizzando i suoi SCR liquidi, poteva proporre la sua quota e scommettere un importo, creando un pronostico su un determinato evento. Se poi un altro utente avesse puntato sul pronostico contrario, allora la scommessa sarebbe stata considerata accettata.

Non sono un fanatico delle scommesse, ma mi sono divertito molto per alcuni mesi ad utilizzare BetScorum.

L'idea era davvero carina secondo me, ma forse un po' complicata e soprattutto necessitava di un gruppo di utenti organizzato dal Team che avesse molte risorse a disposizione e non facesse mai mancare le puntate disponibili.

Purtroppo non è andata come ci si augurava e questa mancanza di successo ha inevitabilmente compromesso gli sviluppi futuri della piattaforma, che pian piano ha perso utenti e ha visto diminuire il valore del token.

Mi è dispiaciuto molto, perché avevamo creato anche lì la comunità italiana, e sotto l'insegna di Scorum-Italia si era ritrovato un gruppetto di amici tra cui anche qualcuno che adesso è qui con me su Steem.

Inoltre Scorum-Italia era anche il Witness che abbiamo creato e con il quale abbiamo fatto un ottimo lavoro, fino ad arrivare tra i primi 5 della blockchain.

Per quanto riguarda la moneta, c'è da dire che Scorum (come Bitcoin) è un token deflazionistico, quindi verranno emessi solo 30 milioni di coin, neanche uno di più.

In ICO, tra febbraio ed aprile 2018, è stata acquistata al prezzo di 1$.

Ad oggi, però, il suo valore è davvero molto basso: 0,008 $.

Nel suo momento migliore aveva raggiunto la valutazione di 0,47 $, ma tra il 2019 e il 2020, il suo valore è crollato a picco, contemporaneamente con il fallimento dei progetti di betting exchange e del blog.

Io ho accumulato circa 25-30K token, ma alcuni li ho utilizzati per pagare il server sul quale operava il witness.

Altri devono ancora essere liberati, in quanto il power down è molto lungo: sono necessari 12 mesi in totale.

E così, attualmente ho 9164,57 SCR disponibili su Hotbit.

Credo che li venderò prima o poi, vorrei solo aspettare di capire se il valore risalirà, ma la vedo davvero difficile come ipotesi.

Purtroppo non credo che le prospettive di questo progetto possano essere positive.
Salvo grandissime sorprese, chiaramente! Poi nel mondo crypto non si sa mai...

In ogni caso, sono contento di aver fatto quest'esperienza, nonostante mi abbia lasciato un po' di rammarico, perché continuo a considerare Scorum come una bella idea e una grande opportunità persa.
