Write me, that you love me / My Introduction

I'm still a bit insecure about sharing my writing, which is why I'm using the pen name Ginger-Alice and the adorable sock monkey as my photo. I know it's a bit cowardice but... baby steps!! I will share with you a few fun facts though. One is that I am from Florida and I will attend every Tampa Rays home game I can possibly make it to. (Not living in Tampa makes it a little more challenging).

I am a waitress at a popular chain restaurant, which surprisingly to some of you, is actually a pretty fun job. Inspiration can be found in so many people that I meet everyday. Not to mention my coworkers make it feel like we are just throwing a party that anyone gets to attend (as long they tip us afterwards).  Don't get me wrong, it has its challenges. Sometimes I wake up and I want to be in bad mood and I want to be grumpy, so in the kitchen I may have the most sour attitude, but as soon as I turn that corner, my smile couldn't be bigger and it's the best day of my life. I feel like anyone in the customer service industry knows that their second calling was probably acting. 

 Aside from my stellar career at keeping people fed and happy, I enjoy nature, reading, writing, and debating which degree I should finally commit to. There is just something terrifying about that word though.... Commit. Gives me the chills. Mostly the student loans give me the chills. Anywhoo. That's about as exciting I can get right now without my afternoon coffee. So I will leave you with an older piece I wrote. It's a bit short, which is nice because I don't want it to overshadow this beautiful introduction - which is a work of art in itself, if I may say so myself. (I'm really not that cocky, but I am that sarcastic). I do hope you enjoy it, and most of all thanks for welcoming me into the Steem community. 😀. ~Ging
