Colourful Wool - SMAC Day 22
Note To Self - Get Knitting
Here's my #monthlyauthorchallenge (SMAC) for today. See below for more info.
One of the things I love about Steemit is how it has made me look more closely at the world and consider things I haven't considered in a long time.
When I was out and about at the weekend I noticed this bright display of wool in a shop and I immediately thought what a great photo it would make for @juliank's colourfulphotgraphy contest.
And then I started to wonder why it's been so long since I did any knitting.
The last thing I knitted was a baby blanket which I posted about here and that was the first thing I'd knitted for 20 years!
I use to be a rampant knitter but somehow let it drop, despite still having loads of patterns, needles and wool in storage.
Maybe it's time to look out those boxes and start again . . .

I like knitting too... and I keep promise myself to knit something... probably a scarf since that's the easiest.

My only experience on knitting was at school, looooong time ago. There was a course about life stuff like first aid skills and knitting!. I managed to made a bit of a scarf ...It was definetely not something I was skilled at 😅
Maybe you could integrate knitting and 'minies" somehow.
I'm impressed that you got the chance to try knitting. When i was at school it was strictly girls only. 😊
For some reasons I came from another school at middle course so I was forced to integrate that class where there were only two boys including me. I was not scared at all but quite excited to be surrouded by girls🤣
Sewing was girls stuff definetely on that time but what else could I do?
Well if you were at my school you'd have been doing metal work or wood work and there wouldn't have been a girl in sight! 😊

I called my mom to check the wardrobes since we don't live in the same country. I'm gonna take them with me next time I visit her :D
