Lunch in Shoreham-By-Sea

I'm not sure this is the most appetising presentation of food I've ever seen but it tasted better than it looked. 😁

It certainly would have made a more interesting photograph if the plate had had a little colour. And the salad looks a bit like English salad always looked when I was growing up . . . boring.

The only difference is the lettuce is slighly more intersting.

Salad in the old days was English lettuce, cucumber and tomato with salad cream. And on a really bad day, radishes too! It's no wonder I wasn't keen. 😂

Nowadays there are so many yummy salad ingredients it's a little disappointing, to say the least, when this is what turns up on your plate.

But there you have it, my lunch at the 'Toast on the Coast' cafe, Shoreham-By-Sea.

At least the view was a bit more interesting, not that you can see so from the photograph.

(I'm not selling this whole experience too well am I?) 😂

For those of you who remember my two previous posts from that day, the vandalised glass bridge is just obscured by that passing yellow van.

And St Mary De Haura Church is just behind where I am sitting at the far end of the pedestrianised street.
