Is downvoting good for steem blockchain ?
I don't think it's good for steem blockchain in long run. It can only work in favour of rich people with higher SP and reputation. Is steemit a capitalist platform. It is going to be very hard for any newbie to get noticed here without bots. Bots and rich people will be getting more and more money. For others it's getting more and more difficult.
Hello @gijog. I want to help you to progress in your Steemit blog. First, let me tell you that, yes, downvoting is a good thing. Because some people are here solely for the rewards, and are ready to post anything just for the sake of money.
If you want to achieve something here, first, start to write your #introduceyourself post. It is like a traditionnal thing here (don't ask me why). Talk a little bit about yourself, what are the things you like, what is the direction of your blog, etc...
Don't forget to interact, to create social value ! Start commenting on other's posts. But don't only write something like "nice post". Write something you really think about the post. That's why you'll want to engage with people that share the same interests as you.
Don't hesitate to ask for help on the various communities chats on Discord. There are PLENTY of them, and a lot of people can actually help you to find a direction on Steemit.
For example, there's some projects, like @SteemSTEM, wich upvotes the bests science/technology/maths/engineering posts everyday. There's also various projects that try to reward people for writing good and original content.
Eventually, you'll grow on Steem. Don't hesitate to contact me here or on Discord
@Kingswisdom7650if you need some advice.Yes @cryptosignz I believe that downvoting is good for the community. It is there to weed out bad content. For example if someome posts something intended to be misleading or false.
The downvote can also be abused. This is going to happen in any community.
To the question in your title, my Magic 8-Ball says:
Hi! I'm a bot, and this answer was posted automatically. Check this post out for more information.
@originalworks
What happens if you buy thousands of $$ of Steem and SBD. Do you just automatically become a whale and start geting a lot of $$ of upvotes.
I always wondered that.
Also, what if a whale was to cash out thousands of dollars of Steem. Will his votes just go back down to few cents ?
@cryptosignz yes if you buy a lot of steem and convert it to steem power your vote value will go up accordingly. If you power down it will go down. But remember that you get at most 25% of your vote value unless you vote on your own stuff.
Having lots of SP won't necessarily get your followers though. You still have to create content and get followers etc.
Yes of course. Your rewards depends mainly on your SP. You SP can be litterily thought of as a bank deposit which generates interest in the form of author and curation rewards. You can easily automate the process of getting interest also by assigning your curation task to bots or by delegation of your SP
Thank you for following me. I too follow you
