Waffles and cherry nice cream no refined sugar and cruelty free

Wazzup foodfightfriday fiends, I mean friends, it's waffle Friday in my house and about time too. I was going through the cupboard looking for something and and came across my waffle machine I haven't used in ages and thought, foodfightfriday post! And I didn't find what I was looking for if you were wondering.

So another thing, I really don't like baking powder, the taste really bugs me, so I made a waffle mixture with yeast instead, and instead of sugar I used soaked dates blended up. First I had to make some plant based milk, simply because I had none, 4 tablespoons of almond butter and 1,25l of water.

ingredients for waffles

• 2 cups flour
• 150g dates soaked in 150ml water
• 2 tablespoons dried yeast
• 1 cup of plant based milk

Once the dates had soaked and the milk made, I blended the dates and a cup of milk.

Then mixed up the rest of the ingredients and waited for the yeast to do it's thing.

Then into the wonderful waffle wizard machine.

To make the nice cream it was just 500g frozen cherries and 150ml milk.
