Steem Thrifting Haul For August 16th.
Come and Gaze Upon My Junk!
You know you want to...
Today the wife and kids came along for the treasure hunt. She always brings a different perspective to the hunt, so that normally means more stuff gets brought home. Also because she finds stuff she likes for herself and the kids.
Well, let's just get into it shall we?
- A largish amount of vintage Lego.
- Philips shavers in working condition and two chargers.
- Cedar shoe trees.
- Sensica device.
- New in the box vintage "Plant Communicator" (apparently it talks)
- Clinical strength deoderants. (one non expired and new, one expired but I will use it myself - hey it is summer in the damn desert! I need all the help I can get)
- Another Nerf gun for the pile.
- ROME season 2 DVD set.
- Miele vacuum bags.
- LeapPad 2 and LeapFrog charger.
- Kuerig 2.0 filter.
- Lightbulb.
- Gentle Leader dog collar and training DVD.
- Ski goggles.
- Cutco holster.
- 2 cassette travel cases (holds 15 each)
- Yamaha RCX remote.
- iomega Zip 250 drive.
- brother IF-50 vintage electronic thing.
Found these cool heated Harley-Davidson gloves. I didn't find the battery packs though. I will see if it is worth purchasing them or just selling the gloves as they are.
A piece of the Berlin Wall!
Part 2
So much stuff it didn't fit in one pic!
- Box O'buttons.
- Epson Photo paper.
- Ford Ranger radio.
- Bread Maker pan and paddle.
- 1980's NASA posters and booklets.
- Stuff for the kids.
Gonna try and sell this random collection of buttons. It doesn't weigh much and shipping will be easy, so why not give it a shot?
Oh, and I almost forgot. I found this still sealed Guerlain Dusting Powder. Wow, what a sleeper! Check out the sold prices on eBay here.
Explore Uranus? Giggity! :P
This Spacelab poster is huge!
Conclusion
I also bought a few T-shirts for myself and a pair of shorts.
The total cost for all this junk? Just $33.50.
Heck, the heated Harley gloves sell for $60-70. Just selling those will bring profit, not to mention the rest of the stuff!
I really enjoy hunting my local Goodwill Outlet.
Until tomorrow - good thrifting!
Get ready for more stuff - although I like the idea of flipping, I am awful at the execution and finding time to get rid of it. Garage sale in 2 weeks, then everything else is off to my local goodwill. I wan't to de-clutter my house!
Yeah, it isn't for everybody
Wow. What a find. i can't believe the prices for the Guerlain Dusting Powder. I'd be so rubbish at this. Even if I saw that in a shop I wouldn't have bothered checking on eBay as I would have assumed nobody would be interested in that.
The Harlyey Davidson clothes I would have guessed but not that dusting powder. 😂
I dunno, I see some things and I just know to check them out.
The benefit of experience I suppose @getonthetrain. The more you do the more you must get a feel for similar products that are at least checking out on Ebay. 😁
Experience is the best teacher (yours or others)
@getonthetrain, For sure it's reflecting as you've bought an profitable set and we can imagine how much profit you made.
And all these pieces are reflecting as real Treasure Hunt, and you've got awesome set of products and specially Harley Davidson gloves.
And i think that those NASA stuff can be one of the best collection because, so many collectors are their who showcase the interests in SPACE aspect.
Wishing you an great day and stay blessed. 🙂
People really buy all that shit? Looks like I'm hittin up some garage sales this weekend.
Garage sales are a great sourcing point, but you need to know prices and whatnot. You can't really just whip out your phone in front of the person and go to eBay to look.
Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, What has two hooves and doesn't give a fuck? This guy!
haha
I love this kind of endevour. Watching american pickers and other shows im always amazed by what people put value in and what they will buy. I love the fact that you are doing this for real and turning over a profit.
Is there much out of it? Or is it just the fun of it that keeps you going?
Even just doing this once a week brings in hundreds of dollars of profit each month. Now when I do it more often... $$$
i love it. I know a few people who are very good with this sort of thing and might have to give it a go at some stage.
And if you can make a few hundred a month that will really add up over time. Any extra income you can make on top of a wage is huge.
Ahahah....I did miss your adventures for a while but now I'm back.
It really sounds great to always see you making profits through that.
Glad you are back, Jona
Wow that hunt seems interesting
If the Zip 250 is USB powered (looks like it), it's worth a lot more than the standard power model, and is a very fast flip.
I found a decent amount of stuff at thrift stores and on the curbs in the last 2 days. Will probably post tomorrow.
Yeah, it's the USB version
Nice short ebay karma read to inspire here in the meantime.
Another Fine Day Young Skywalker....................
