Does TRU Niagen Work? My Personal Review.

I Took The Anti-Aging Pill TRU Niagen & Here Is What I Think.

About three months ago I first started taking TRU Niagen. What did I find out?

I am currently 37 years old and I think it is safe to say that I don't feel as I did when I was 27. So when I came across a company called Chromadex and their product, TRU Niagen, I was intrigued as some people claim it makes you feel 10 years younger. The reviews I read, while somewhat mixed, were heavily tilted in favor of this pill.

Before we get any further I must tell you that I am not making any money from this article but I do own a few shares of the company.

My little experiment was not scientific and I have no way of actually measuring any changes, so all this is anecdotal.

What does TRU Niagen do? Basically, it gives your body 'NR' (nicotinamide riboside) which causes your body to make NAD+. NAD+ has been shown to give a multitude of positive effects. Also, NAD+ levels decrease with age.

To see if this pill was worth taking, I decided to try it as directed for one month. I knew how I had been feeling without it, so I could see if I felt any different. I didn't change my diet or exercise routines. I tried my best to be neutral about the whole process as to lessen any placebo effect.

The directions say to take one pill in the morning and one at night, so I did.

For about 3 or 4 days I didn't feel any different. Some say they slept better, but I wasn't getting many hours of sleep due to my own side-hustle efforts. Still, I think there was a small positive improvement in the sleep I did get.

Same for my energy levels. I can't say for sure, but there was probably a small improvement there as well.

What really changed for me was the total disappearance of small aches and pains, especially those in my lower back. Activities that would normally cause me to groan like an old man did not do so. It certainly appears that TRU Niagen worked in that regard.

After The First Month.

One bottle is 60 pills and so lasts 30 days as directed.

As I am 37, I am not too old so would half a dose give me much or any benefit?

I tried to answer that by taking just one pill per day for two months. The answer I came up with was that the benefit was greatly reduced.

At first, I could start to feel aches and pains in my lower back again, although somewhat reduced from the times before TRU Niagen. But as time passed the aches and pains returned to about my 'normal' levels.

I guess at first I had a larger amount of NAD in my body since I was following the full dosage amount but I lost it as time passed and one pill was not enough.

My Personal Thoughts About TRU Niagen

It works. It took away my common aches and pains. It might have helped in other areas too, but it certainly took away my lower back pains. But only if I took the pill twice per day as directed.

Now I am only 37 and what I gleaned from the personal reviews is that the older you are, the more you will feel a positive effect from TRU Niagen.

There are studies that show TRU Niagen lengthens the lifespan of mice.

So why not grab a bottle or two and see if you feel any better after taking it for a few weeks? At worst, you are out a few bucks. At best, you have increased your quality of life (and maybe prolonged it).

Thanks @getonthetrain ! As a 50 year old with double hip replacement the last 2 years this might be something I grab. Thanks for your thorough review my friend :)

P.S. Although if it is just aches and pain not really sure it can do much more than a good dose of Motrin which is a fraction of the price.

Hey, there is evidence that boosting NAD+ lengthens your life while also keeping you feeling younger. Something that Motrin probably doesn't do :D

Very interesting! Thank you for sharing, Justin!

I started taking NiaCel (the European brand of Nicotinamide Riboside, NR) just a few weeks after you did. I felt a boost of energy right away. In fact, I had troubles falling asleep in the evening, I felt so energetic. So I had to switch to just one pill a day, that I would take in the mornings.

The most noticeable effect was the reduction of post-workout soreness and aches. With NiaCel, even after a longer run or a gym work-out my muscles wouldn’t ache for 2–3 days afterwards, as they used to. The post-workout recovery process was greatly improved.

So when I finished the first bottle, I ordered another one. And I’m already half-way through it. For me the health benefits are quite obvious and worth the price. I don’t know if I should try taking two pills a day, as is the recommended dosage. Maybe I can just order a 250 mg version of NiaCel and take one in the morning, instead of two 125 mg pills a day. I guess you are also taking the 125 mg doses? Are you continuing with this regiment? Do you get a discount, when you order a few bottles at once?

I have found the best prices for TRU Niagen to be on Amazon. Right now, the best rate is $105.95 for a 90 day supply (59 cents per pill). One bottle is $39.95, or 67 cents per pill.

Yes, that is two 125mg pills per day.

You can also order directly from their website. Here is a link to save $10 off your first order. https://www.talkable.com/x/sdAI1Z

You can subscribe on the link and get 3-months for less than Amazon.

Well, they told me that the shipping fees to Europe would be too expensive for me, so they didn't recommend it. Besides, they said they couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't be confiscated by the Swedish customs. Or that I wouldn't have to pay 25% Swedish VAT (sales tax) on top of the price. So in the end I decided to go with the European brand, NiaCel, instead. Less hassle that way.

Nice man! I'm always back and forth on whether I want to try these things, cus if ti works....then I'm basically stuck taking it the next 30 years lol.

Haha, yeah, me too. But $40 a month to feel better each and every day? Seems like a good trade.

Plus, there is initial research that indicates that increasing NAD+ is like preventative maintenance for your body when it comes toward aging.

I have been hearing about this and C60.
The two seem to work very well together for many people.

Me, i just stop aging.
I feel that is better for me.

You should bottle up that secret and sell it! ;-)

Never heard of it!

Thankfully @45 I feel great!

I heard retiring early is great for the body. 😜

Not to mentiono the mind!

I imagine not working at all is even better for your health.

BTW I just finished a book called 'Why We Sleep' - there's about 6000 research studies which confirm that getting 7-8 hrs a night (ie actually 7-8 so.a longer 'sleep window') is essential for the optimum health 99.999% of the human population.

I still might check out that product though!

I'm going to give it a shot

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

I might give this a go @getonthetrain. Since I'm older the benefits should be greater. 😁

I will do a little research since I've not heard of it before.

Let me know what you do after your research.

Well. I opened a load of pages in my browser to read @getonthetrain but ran out of time and had to close them all again.

Hopefully I'll be reminded every time I see you post. 😂

Also, just got back in after my second trip outside tonight...

Just these porcelain figures in PERFECT MINT condition amongst plenty of other stuff... I've found so much, I can't handle it. Feels good to save these heirlooms from the ~1950s from being destroyed. Went back to the same spot I found others last week. Same woman's apt sadly getting tossed.

Approx 12" x 7" - $300+

Approx 13" tall and worth about $150.

It's hard to be excited to carve out time to post everything lately when Steemit usage and engagement on those posts is so low. I almost prefer to wait until more people care so it's not falling on deaf ears (except yours and maybe 3 others).

(sources: ebay)

I have no porcelain knowledge. Are you well versed in it or do you know a few major players to look out for.

There is just so much of it out there and I think only old people are interested in porcelain figurines.

Kinda a declining market.

I know the better players to look out for. Yes, it's a slow market, but I feel that people will spend as those who are enthusiasts are often dedicated collector or seeking to replace super rare items if they broke their own treasure/heirloom. I'm only handling these and the ones I find for free. These things are often way too overpriced in thrift stores. I went thrifting today and feel like it's nowhere near as efficient as my curb hunting. Where I thought curb hunting would supplement thrifting, it's surprisingly becoming the opposite. While I won't stop, thrifting seems like it will be best for bad weather days or dry spells on the street.

Hell I'm 60 and I still act like a Teenager.........I guess I should consider that a Blessing...............

I hear that! Though I'm 40, expect it will be the same.

I'll have to do some more research but this feedback on it has me hopeful!
