My pets.

En casa tenemos dos mascotas. Mi Copito, es un gato. Y mi Tronkín, es una tortuga terrestre. Ambos son muy queridos por mi hijo y por mi. Las dos mascotas saben y me reconocen como la gefa del hogar aunque las dos mascotas pertenecen a mi hijo.

Desde la mañana hasta el anochecer ambas mascotas, cuando me ven, me siguen a donde camino. Deben creer que soy una dispensadora de alimentos ambulante.

At home we have two pets. Copito is a cat and my Tronkin is a land turtle. They are both very dear to my son and to me. Both pets know and recognize me as the housewife even though both pets belong to my son.

From morning until dusk both pets, when they see me, follow me where I walk. They must believe that I am a mobile food dispenser.

La historia de mi Copito es muy singular. La madre de él, era una gata de la calle que solía sentarse en sus dos patas traseras, desde la calle y quedarse observando lo que yo hacía con mis plantas. Le di de comer en varias oportunidades y fue así como esa gata de la raza Angora, me adoptó.

Un buen día observé cuando la gata madre venía a mi jardín, que ella estaba engordando. Me di cuenta que estaba embarazada. Ella seguía viniendo a mi casa, con su pansa más grande , me seguía mientras yo estaba afuera y luego se iba. Mi hijo y yo tuvimos que salir de casa de urgencia, para regresar después de una semana.

Cuando regresamos, la gata no apareció por unos días. Fue cuando oí que unos gatos pequeños maullaban afuera en la calle. Me asomé y ví varios gatos tirados a la basura. Fue cuando apareció la gata madre y, ella fue trayendo de uno en uno cada gatito que estaba en la basura. Eran sus hijos y alguien los tiró.

Ella los crió por algunas semanas, los amamantó y vivió en mi porche con sus gatos. Pero un día ella amaneció muerta en la calle y yo me quedé cuidando 5 gatitos. Luego regalé unos y me quedé con Copito a petición de mi hijo. El gato se crió en el porche de la casa, no entraba a mi casa.

Y fue así como él se crió en la calle de noche y, en el día en mi casa hasta el día de hoy. Es un gato muy juguetón pero siempre tiene una cara muy seria. Pero hoy en día es el dueño de la casa, o algo así supone él.

The story of my Copito is very unique. His mother was a street cat that used to sit on her two hind legs from the street and watch what I did with my plants. I fed her several times and that was how that cat of the Angora breed adopted me.

One fine day I observed when the mother cat came to my garden that she was gaining weight. I realized she was pregnant. She kept coming to my house, with her biggest belly, she followed me while I was outside and then she left. My son and I had to leave the house urgently, and we returned after a week.

When we returned, the cat did not appear for a few days. It was when I heard small cats meowing outside on the street. I looked out and saw several cats lying in the trash. It was when the mother cat appeared and she was bringing in each kitten, one by one, that was in the trash. They were her children and someone threw them away.

She raised them for a few weeks, nursed them, and lived on my porch with her cats. But one day she woke up dead on the street and I was taking care of 5 kittens. Then I gave some away and I kept Copito at the request of my son. The cat grew up on the porch of the house, it did not enter my house.

And that was how he grew up on the street at night and in the day at my house until today. It is a very playful cat but it always has a very serious face. But nowadays he owns the house, or something like that, he supposes.

Tronkín, mi tortuga de tierra, es un bebe. Se lo obsequiaron a mi hijo casi cuando salió de su cascaron. La señora lo trajo a mi casa, por que en la casa de ella hay ratas y tuvo miedo que desapareciera el pequeño morrocoy.

Esta pequeña tiene un año y unos meses. No la dejo salir fuera del porche, a menos que la vigile. Pero es muy traviesa y se me escapa de vez en cuando. La primera vez se metió en la selva de mi jardín y no la hallé hasta que ella me halló a mi. Al tercer día de estar perdida, yo me encontraba dando agua a unas plantas cuando pude ver que se aproximaba a mi.

Tronkin, my land turtle, is a baby. They gave her to my son almost when she came out of her shell. The lady brought her to my house, because there are rats in her house and she was afraid that the little turtle would "disappear".

This little girl is a year and a few months old. I don't let her out on the porch unless I watch her. But it's very naughty and it escapes from time to time. The first time she went into the jungle that is my garden and I didn't find her until she found me. On the third day of being lost, I was giving water to some plants when I could see that it was approaching me.

La segunda vez se extravió por 5 días, la di por perdida. Al quinto día mientras regaba las plantas, ella vino a mi. Y hace poco fue su tercera vez. Estuvo 5 días de nuevo en el jardín. Y cuando yo estaba parada llevando agua a las plantas la vi en la hojarasca, haciendo mucho ruido por venir hasta donde estaba yo. Es una mascota adorable, y es hembra. Es mi pequeña Tronkín.

The second time it was lost for 5 days, I gave it up as lost. On the fifth day while watering the plants, she came to me. And recently it was her third time. She spent 5 days in the garden again. And when I was standing carrying water to the plants I saw her in the leaf litter, making a lot of noise to come to where I was. It is an adorable pet, and it is female. She is my little Tronkin.
