In this week's challenge the theme is: "The street where I live."

I am a Venezuelan citizen, I was born and raised in these lands. I live in my parents' house. When they died they left this house alone, so my family asked me to live in it and so I did.

I live in an urbanization, my house is in a corner. It has a little problem with the street in front, there is a stream of sewage, which has never ever been solved.

There is currently water in the pipes that supply drinking water. So there is water in front of my house, on the street. The birds and the black herons seem to enjoy the water and they bathe and feed on what they get there.

En el reto de esta semana nos brindan el tema de "la calle donde vivo".

Soy ciudadana venezolana, nací y me crié en estas tierras. Vivo en la casa de mis padres. Al morir ellos dejaron esta casa sola, así que mi familia pidió que yo la habitara y así lo hice.

Vivo en una urbanización, mi casa queda en una esquina. Tiene un problema con la calle del frente, pasa una corriente de aguas negras, que nunca, pero nunca lo han solucionado.

En estos momentos hay agua en las tuberías que suministran agua potable a las casas. Por eso hay agua al frente de mi casa, en la calle. Los pájaros y las garzas negras, parecen disfrutar del agua y, se bañan y se alimentan de lo que consiguen allí.

In rainy times, this street is flooded. Because the way they placed the pavement does not allow for the easy passage of so it doesn't go down into the stream and is instead dammed here.

There are not many people on the street, because the quarantine asks for isolation and only to go out to emergencies that may be had at the time, such as buying food or medicine.

En los tiempos de lluvia, esta calle se inunda. Porque la forma en como colocaron el pavimento, no permite el paso fácil del agua de lluvia y, no baja hacia la corriente, sino que queda represada aquí.

No hay muchas personas en la calle, porque la cuarentena pide aislamiento y solo salir a las emergencias que se puedan tener en el momento, como comprar alimentos o medicinas.

This is a beautiful bougainvillea that is in front of my house in the garden.

Esta es una hermosa bugambilia que está al frente de mi casa en el jardín.

I have many neighbors. We relate as a community. Some are friendly and others not so much. But the same courtesy rules for everyone will always be the same.

There are many houses, some with two floors and others with three floors. But usually they are all like mine, a single one-story structure.

I like where I live but I would really like to move to the country. Someday if God allows me I will go live there. I have my hopes set on that.

Tengo muchos vecinos. Nos relacionamos como comunidad. Algunos son amigables y otros no tanto. Pero igual las normas de cortesía para todos, siempre serán las mismas.

Hay muchas casas, unas de dos pisos y otras de tres pisos. Pero normalmente son todas como la mía, una sola estructura de un piso.

Me gusta donde vivo pero realmente me gustaría mudarme al campo. Algún día si Dios me lo permite iré a vivir para allá. Tengo mis esperanzas puesto en eso.
