How to Make a Healthy Breakfast With These Leftover Idlies!
Hi Friends... Idli is a commonly known dish for breakfast, especially here in South India...
It also has a great nutritional value and is believed to be one of the good items for breakfast in India. While making these idlies, the Soaking, Grinding and fermenting Rice and Dal is bit long process and we have to start this on the previous day itself!! Naturally after the first day's eating, a good number of idlies will be left out and on the next day instead of using it as it is, we can also make an upma by powdering and seasoning these idlies!.
But I made this in my own way!... :).
Instead of powdering I made small pieces of these idlies using a knife. Gave a good seasoning using Coconut oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, black gram Dal, green and red chilly - one each, and a bit of grated Coconut...
Method of preparation...
Cut the idlies into small pieces using a knife. Make a seasoning using the ingredients mentioned above. Mix well keep covered for a while....
And.... This was the yummy breakfast today for us, with the aroma and goodness of the Coconut oil!!😘
