Do you think it is possible to stay completely truthful?
For how long do you think you can speak without an atom of lie in it. Lying has become a regular thing that so many people use to cover up mistakes and issues in this generation, as a matter of fact, the act of lying is now seen as something you need to engage in, in order to make it through life.
Our leaders are also not helping matters because all they do in order to get into political positions is to tell us lies about what they will do whenever they get into power, this attitude of political leaders have made a lot of young ones believe that they have to tell lies just like those in power in order to get what they want out of life.
Now, the question is, do you think it is possible to stay without lying and how long can you stay without lying?
I was seeing a local movie, and the main actor was so used to lying that he could not make a complete sentence without telling a lie.
He was so used to the habit of telling lies that he did not even know he was really attached to the habit.
One faithful day, his wife prayed that God should help her husband to stay for seven days without an atom of lie, she pleaded and cried to God to make her husband totally and completely sincere all through the period of seven days.
She was surprised that God answered her prayers and her husband spoke plainly without any atom of lie in it, this new found attitude did not sit well with her because her husband became too blunt.
On several occasions, when she will expect him to just hide his feelings and tell a little lie in order to avoid something bad, he will find himself saying nothing but the absolute truth.
At that point, his wife was really confused and she wished she never said any prayer on her husband's behalf, she realized people did not want to listen to the truth at all and his inability to tell a lie almost made him loose his job.

I really want to know what your opinion is about this issue, do you think it is impossible to stay away from the habit of lying?
