"That which ye have seen me do even that shall ye do."#LightTheWorld day 22
It's a lot easier to do something when we have seen it demonstrated by someone else.
One of the benefits of studying the scriptures is that we can study the lives of great men and women.
Jesus Christ is undoubtedly one that we can read the most about and whose example is most comprehensively documented.
Simple reading and studying his life is one half of the blessing, the rest and probably most lasting part of the blessing is when we start applying the principles demonstrated therein in our own lives.
As we aspire to live better and be better we actually become better people over time.
The rough areas of our character are smoothed of and we become more well rounded.
Jesus taught:
"That which ye have seen me do even that shall ye do."
—3 Nephi 27:21
No one else has provided a better pattern for living than Jesus Christ. As we seek to emulate Him, we can improve our own lives and the lives of people around us.

Most definitely Jesus Christ is the best example to follow, he came down and died for our sins
And he is the KING OF ALL THE EARTH
Jesus is all
Our master and friend
Greetings, sir @gavvet
Jesus Christ, even for non-believers, is a model of behavior. That is why he carries with honor the title of "teacher" He teaches us humility and the appropriate way to discern between good and evil. If humanity opened its mind to this learning in the workshop of the teacher Jesus, the world would be simply wonderful for all.
Hello @gavvet, very useful post on the ocassion of christmas. there is also guideline and advises of jesus christ. and much more here about humanity. these lines are worth.
Thanks for providing us a worth message through your article.
"Merry Christmas" in advance.
Thank you for an interesting article. "Who despises his neighbor, he sins; and whoever is merciful to the poor is blessed "(Proverbs 14:21). This is one of my favorite quotes from the Bible about the attitude towards people. After reading the covenants of Jesus, I understand that there is nothing more accessible and understandable for a person that would start to live properly listening the covenants of Christ.
@gavvet
Did you know the verse the light the world website is citing from the book of Mormon, was actually taken from the book of John in the Bible?
"Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
John 14:12 ESV

Good observation!
This part in the book of Mormon is when Christ came (after he was resurrected) to the people of Nephi, he taught them many sermons which are similar to the sermons found in the bible.
@gavvet, Absolutely #lighttheworld really encourage me for change my life. I'm non-christian when I told before, but I respect Jesus Christ same My Buddha. I have read and study more Christ books from my village and school library those days. So I have best knowledge. Scripture studying giving more benefits and we can go success way those persons goes.
If we emulate Jesus Christ we can seek success way after follow him. Yup... I can seriously follow the example of Jesus. Why not?
Obviously, Jesus had a love for others. If He didn’t, He wouldn’t be compassionate nor a servant. Jesus claimed that there is no greater love than to die for one of your friends—and He did just that. If anyone doubts His love, all they have to do is look upon the cross and see the agony that He bore for their sakes. He experienced that horrible death so that all can be saved. That, very clearly, is true love at its finest.
Finally I tell Christians and non-Christians alike usually can agree that Jesus is the best role model to have. From His faith, perseverance, generosity, and even His intelligence, people see the best qualities that mankind can possess. Stay blessed.
And Merry Xmas to you @gavvet.
This after the friend saw me cursing almost everything that I encounter with.. but to a very surprise upliftment, the quote make me to feel ease of myself, happiness were found n this become part and parcel of my life now, literally I forgive everyone n be happy always now, thanks to Lord Jesus.. :-)
Everybody is a beloved one, everybody have to right to be loved.
Just by giving a little love, you feel be loved!
Excellent post, my friend and I like the expression "Love your neighbor as yourself." To love means to coexist, co-feel and co-suffer to another as to oneself. If there is love for one's neighbor, then I feel heartache when I learn that someone has grief. And all the time, every day and every hour. It is easier to mobilize once with a terrible grief, grief .., but always, daily to be sensitive to the life and condition of the neighbor, the one who is next to - is incredibly difficult.
Because love is a gift of God. It is not in our power. We can only have the intention to love, but the Lord helps in this. Thank you @gavvet
This is a very wonderful post @gavvet. There is no greater life to live than walking after in the footsteps of Christ.
Acts 11 vs 26
''and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.''
I believe emulating Jesus Christ means truly being a Christian, not by title, but by practice. I start by asking, what does it mean to be Christian?
Being Christian, i.e. a follower of Christ, means to strive to live as Jesus Christ would live. By that I don’t mean forsaking all possessions to walk around preaching the gospel.
It means to always act as He would act. Forgive everyone who offends you, because He would do so.
It means seeing others as children of God, no matter what race they are or what religion they believe in.
It means asking how you can brighten someone else’s day, just as He brought light into the lives of others.
It means asking for forgiveness when we’ve had an unkind thought or said or done something that hurt someone else or ourselves.
It means remembering that you can be happy through tough times because of Christ, that He knows what it’s like to feel remorseful because He felt that during His Atonement for us. He knows what it’s like to feel depressed and have anxiety, to be mad and wanting to feel unforgiving of others and ourselves. He knows, and because He knows He can take it away, replacing those feelings with peace.
It means asking for His help to feel that peace in our lives, every moment of the day. When I’m tired because I was up the whole night taking care of my sick kids, I can ask Him for peace that they’ll be OK and strength to get through another day at work.
Practicing Christianity daily is the key to emulating Christ. It’s a simple idea, but requires faith and devotion to center our lives around it. And when we do so, we'll naturally be like Christ.
