Ibadan - A Poem
Hats of rusty roofs
Perching on the heads of ancient buildings
That sit quietly on red hills
To await the rise of the morning sun.
The town where the thief is acquainted
While the owner is blamed
For keeping his goods
Within the grasp of the thief.
Home to women and men
With sharp tongues,
And cheeks adorned with beautiful tribal marks.
