This is a tough one. Sometimes there are mods that can make a game spectacular, far superior to the original game. Then again it can seem like cheating in some ways.
Mostly I don't use mods, but things like Day-Z were amazing.
But nowadays I rarely play video games, because I don't have the proper hardware to play them. I can play only older (mostly from 2007 and older) games. I currently have a 13 years old laptop (Toshiba Satellite A110-110). Newer games are rarely playable on this laptop.
