Zelda - Battling the Mighty Centaleon

The Centaleon is one of the most powerful enemies in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. You can encounter a variety of them with different weapons and levels throughout the fields of Hyrule. While looking for Eldra the dragon, I found a powerful centaleon sripped like a zebra that held a sword, a shield and a multishot bow. This is how I beat this monster! The moment he saw me, he started attacking with fireballs. Then, he came rampage mode at me. Most of his attackts were sword swings in combos of two or three.

After my first hits, He got even more furious and kept trying to kill me. He performs two focus kind of techniques that have a radial perimeter for damage.

The main movement for defeating this big guy is to counter his attacks by activating slow motion combat in which Link will have some seconds to give hits to the enemy. This is done by covering with your shield and expecting the right moment to evade (jumping in some direction). Then the Y button will appear and you'll be able to give some serious damage.

Depending on the weapon you carry at the moment, you'll be able to give a certain amount of hits. After that, the battle will continue at normal speed. It takes time to learn the proper timing for evading attacks, and it will take many of these attacks to defeat a Centaleon based on your current strength.

The Centaleon was finally defeated after a good fire claymore blow. As you can see, it took me quite a while since the battle began at night and ended at daytime. Not many battles in the game have been as challenging as this one. I had a lot of fun!
