What is blockchain?

Blokchan is a kind of online diary. Name of technology "chain of blocks" describes the principle of its operation. New information is written to a block that joins the end of the chain. Each new block contains information about the previous block. Entire chain of blocks with the same set of information is stored for each network participant on a variety of computers around the world.

Information contained in the chain can be seen by everyone, but it’s possible to make changes only in accordance with pre-established rules. For example, if the block is used in crypto currency, then only someone who owns it can spend money.

Blockchain technology has two principal properties. Secondly, information created by blockchain technology can’t be rewritten, since changing a member of even one block will entail a change in the whole chain, information in it will be different, and other participants in the chain will simply ignore it.
