🍰 Hybrid dessert in photoshop 🍰
🌿 Greetings very, very warm, dear friends, I hope you are excellent! 🌿
This time I will share something different than usual in my content on the platform and it has to do with the manipulation of Photoshop in its CS6 edition, a few days ago I saw some photomontages that I liked and I wanted to try something similar, so I decided to make a hybrid of Venezuelan dessert combined with my pet Charlotte, which is Golden Retriever, for that I took a picture of the Internet of a quesillo and maybe many of you wonder what a quesillo is? Dear friends, it is a Venezuelan dessert that is made of condensed milk and comes bathed in caramel, it can be compared to the flan, but it is not the same. As the colors of the dessert and the charlotte skin color are similar, I wanted to combine it in a hybrid
To make it more educational, I made several screenshots to publicize the process and explain "how I did it" so they can learn even a little about how to make a simple photomontage.
Some tips to keep in mind are:
Use photos with similar tones.
These photographs must have a size that can be related, that is, they do not differ too much, since the photos can be distorted when they stretch or become too small.
Choose images with a good definition.
Play with the lights and colors of the same image.
Well ... Let's start:
As many know Photoshop is a program that facilitates and potentiates the arrangement and modification of photographs, although in this one you can also do other things such as painting and even vectoring, however the most common purpose of this program is the photographic edition and in this post I will give a brief explanation that I hope will be useful for those who want to start venturing into this program:
In this part I only show the photographs to be used, separated by layers, the layers are on the right side and will be added as we need them, for example, I already have three layers: the white background, the quesillo and charlotte, later will be adding more layers, such as to add colors or other elements, this helps us keep our work organized and if there is an error in any of the layers can correct yourself more easily.
To begin, I will remove the background from the photograph of Charlotte to have the possibility of creating the hybrid, this is achieved with the use of tools such as: lasso, the so-called Magic Wand or even with the help of the eraser, to be able to clean our background and to be able to superimpose the photographs in the following way:
Friends, I think you already see the intention of what I want to do, using the Clone Stamp tool that is on the left side and has a stamp shape, with the help of the "Alt" button and clicking on the mouse, it helps to take the color, the texture and the shape of the photograph to go to clone as the name implies, the idea is to create a puppy quesillo, so to speak:
As you can see, the Clone Stamp made it easier for me to copy the texture of Charlotte's coat and superimpose it on the dessert, copy clear areas and other more opaques to create a greater contrast, playing with the same shadows who offer us the image:
As you can see, the same tool helped me to skirt the top as part of the dessert and almost finish with our hybrid, to finish with our creation we went to save the file in JPG format to through the option "Save for web", option that allows to choose between the formats "PNG", "GIF" and the one we will use today, the classic format for photography "JPG"
