Home-Made Ginger Oil
The ginger rood has been used as spice as well as medicine for thousands of years. The most potent form of ginger is the oil, containing the highest levels of gingerol . Here's how to prepare it at home :
You need:
-1 cup fresh ginger;
-1 cup olive/coconut oil;
-oven-safe bowl;
-cheese grater.
How to make:
-rinse the ginger with skin and let dry for few hours;
-pour 1/2 cup of olive/coconut oil on the oven-safe bowl;
-shred the ginger using the cheese grater;
-add the rest of the oil and mix together;
-put the mixture in the bowl and let it simmer on low hear ( 150 degrees Fahrenheit ) for at least 2hours;
-filter the mixture through a cheesecloth to take out the ginger bits;
- once filtered,transfer the oil in clean bottles and store in a cool dry place.
The benefits:
-split ends or dandruff (add few drops to you shampoo ) ;
- containing powerful antiseptic , can kill the acne bacteria .
-famous for reducing cellulite : mix 10 drops of the ginger oil with 1/4 cup almond oil and massage before bed time.
