Demolition Derby

Is a traditional event in my hometown. It's been organized twice a year in the last ten years. One in spring, one in autumn. The majority of the racers drive the iconic cars of the socialism.

Topspeed: 100 km/h; HP 26!!!!

There are two categories:

• cars with low HP
• cars with lower HP. :-)

These cars are "developed","maintained" and demolished by fans of racing, car mechanics, who are obsessed, and do anything for the fun and the entertainment of the spectators.
It is a two-day-gathering, competitors arrive from all parts of Hungary, and spend two nights around the "ring" in tents, have conversations, party and fun.

The rules are quite simple. Stay in the race and win it!

And the closing ceremony on the second day: The drivers have to turn their cars upside down, provided they are still able to move!
