The best way to get miles is using special credit cards which offer incentives in the shape of flier miles. We have all heard of such cards and also seen people getting miles using these cards, but the problem is that the offers on these cards are constantly changing and it is hard to keep track of the cards which offer the best deals. The best way that I have found which gets me the most miles is that I keep changing credit cards. The way this works is that you get a credit card and only use enough credit on it that you get the miles which are being offered and then you pay off the card and start looking for a new credit card which offers flier miles. Most people just keep using one card even after they have redeemed the miles from it which is the biggest rookie mistake that you can make in my opinion. In order for you to get good at selecting good credit cards for getting miles the best way is to search sites like 'Flyertalk' which have tips from other people who are using credit cards for getting miles.

The next thing that you need to do is always use the same airline to travel. When you are faithful to one airline they return this favor by giving you gifts and upgrades . Loyalty is shown by the airlines to people who are frequent fliers with them. Most of the time if the flight is empty the most loyal customers are given free upgrades to first class. This is not always the case and it depends on different factors whether you will be upgraded or not.

Another way to accumulate miles is to actually buy the plane tickets using credit cards rather than cash because you get miles when making a plane ticket purchase using credit card. After these basic tricks there are other ways which are called loopholes in the system which are exploited to get miles.

You can use credit cards to buy things like dollar coins or money orders which are actually transfers rather than purchases because you get the cash back but these are still counted as a purchase by the credit card companies and this way when you make the purchase you are getting flier miles as a result. Another way is to make many purchases instead of a single purchase for example if you are going to buy 1000 bags of cement you do not pay for all of them in one transaction but rather break the transaction in several smaller transaction and that way you have more opportunities to get miles.

All these hacks are just the general things that can be done but the main problem is that the rules are not the same in every country and you have to see what offers are present in the country in which you live. The best way is to follow people online who are experts in making miles from your country as they all have online blogs which give the latest tips to make miles. I know that this seems like a tedious exercise right now but as time passes you will get better at it and then it would be like second nature to you.
