Amazing how he keeps leaving out the fact that the truce break was on his side! @kabir88 laid down a string of downvotes and fabricated evidence against an innocent analyst colleague on his posts. @fulltimedick supported @kabir88 with upvotes to his posts and downvotes to me. These were agreed to be not allowed per the truce!

Flagging is not the same as "plundering" - though you seem to be right that the flag-button has been abused here. "Negative curation" can be a good thing, "retaliation" hardly so. With great (steem) power comes great responsibility, if one cannot handle the responsibility one ought to power down and sell out.

As long as someone can upvote their one line comments to $100 and everyone looks the other way, we will continue to have these type of bad actors on the platform.
These self voters remove large amounts from the reward pool, reducing payouts from genuine content creators and suppressing the price of STEEM. In the same way counterfeit notes reduce the value of a currency. This effects every single steem holder.
It's sad to see others still avoid the issue and pretend it's not happening and ignore the toxic effects it has when new users join and see the system is broken

Regardless of how someone uses their vote, the change to the reward pool is exactly the same, isn't it?

From a technical point of view, if A votes B and B votes A, and both have the same steem power, the end result will be the same as if both A and B self-voted, though people won't be upset so easily
When A has a lot of steem power, distributing votes and hoping to get nearly the same amounts of votes back is just not going to happen. To get a return on the steem investment, self-voting is nearly the only thing one can do.
If A is creating posts of average quality and only voting for himself, the trending page will consist of average-quality-stuff, while it would be preferable if the trending page would consist entirely of things that excels.
Is the reason the price of Steem and SBD is down because instead of encouraging people to get a ROI, we discourage it. Maybe if our culture said it was "OK" we would have more investors and the prices would go up?
I'm aware, most (including me, I think. I'm still trying to understand...) think there is a line in the sand, that it's OK up to that point, but if you cross that line, you are greedy.
It's sad to see this kind of behaviours. I don't know who is right and who isn't, but I think that this should be stopped.

What were the conditions of the truce? I seem to remember that it was that you would not revenge flag people who flagged you for disagreeing on rewards. You did, so FTG started flagging you again. Seems pretty simple to me.
