Passion Ignited (What drives us to exist?)
I recently decided to re-take the Myers & Briggs personality profile test. It's been a number of years since I took the test last. I was curious once again what kind of personality I am. I don't recall what I was before, but I'm sure it was in the same ballpark.
It turns out that I am an INTP aka "The Thinker". Well this got me thinking and before too long I came up with this poem. I feel like it summarizes the essence of what fuels the fires of passion in my mind. I'm happy with INTP. It suits me well.

PASSION IGNITED
A yearning
Often burning
Sometimes crippling
Or maybe itching
Feeling inside
It longs for answers
To most profound questions
What is the meaning of life
Are we alone in the universe
Is there a God
Pondering
Wondering
A tangled web of curiosity blooms
It fascinates
Invigorates
My passion for life even more
Excitement builds
Yet never crescendos
As the answers elude
Perhaps forevermore
It does not matter though
With this precious passion
For truth and understanding
My days are never a bore
