Beautiful Backyard Mushrooms - Part 4 (Original)
Stocky mushroom I've never seen before
This thick and stocky mushroom reminds of the Amanita variety. I found it in the middle of my yard near a pine tree and an oak tree. I've not seen this particular variety in my backyard before.
I wonder what it is. Anyone know? Is it an Amanita?

Awesome! I thinn this is the same species as your part 5 mushrooms - but again I dont know what it is and can't try to key it out now.
Try to get a look at the gill color if you can. Very intrigued.
Thanks @dber. The gills are white and thin and many of them all attached to the cap. Same as the other.
I tried searching for images online but but nothing exactly came up. Although I do still think it is an Amanita species.
