Pushing Through The Muck Of Trying To Exist
The very thought of simply existing is just too much to handle. It has become a mutated version of what it once could have been.
Here we are, wrapping up 2019, and there are so many labels and expectations laying around that we can't walk without running right into them.
We are so caught up in existing that we aren't living. We are so caught up on defining who or what we are, that we are missing out on just being.
One step further we have specialists that believe they know what is best for the rest of us. There are schools, churches, doctors etc. that believe they have all of the answers....and we hand over that authority to them.
We willingly let someone else define our lives...our very existence....because they think they know better and we agree.
We are in control of our own lives. We should act like it.

I totally agree.
I am far from perfect, but having had a number of people try to define my life for me, in the end, I simply moved on.
They were clearly looking out for their own best interests; not mine.
I am an unconventional person, from a family of unconventional people, and I'm okay with that. I've never been interested in conforming to someone else's expectations, including those of my family.
And, with all its highs and lows, I've lived a far more interesting and fulfilling life than many.
I wouldn't trade it.
That is amazing that you recognized it was happening,and were able to change it!
Yeah, well it was typically a long and painful process, and I put up with way more BS than I should have before standing toe to toe and saying "Enough."
