My Bug Out Chronicles: physical fitness and peace

Good Day everyone! Thank you for joining me for another Bug Out Chronicle. Today I am out and about with my lovely bride Stacie D, and we are walking the dogs while getting in the best work out ever! Pardon the wind, It stops half way through.

Today I want to talk a bit about physical fitness and peace. Things are certainly changing. Our world as we know it is changing, so what can we do about it. We are locked up in out houses with limited exposure to other humans, or anything that resembles our normal routine.

Well, for us, we are walking. Good old fashioned, one foot in front of the other, no fooling around...walking. We started doing this back in 2016 after I went through a terrible medical issue. I was cutting cedar trees, and I made a mistake lifting one and tore a muscle in my SI joint in my low back/pelvis area. It is a deadlifting injury, and it put my down for months.

We found that will some trigger point therapy, massage, and walking....my back healed. 100%. There is no doubt that I have zero issue with my back now, especially considering some of the things I have done since then. For me, I learned alot about what walking does for out bodies. It may do more than we even know.

I learned about the lymphatic system, and how to remove toxins from my body. Walking gets all of our juices flowing. The heart pumps the circulatory system, but nothing pumps the lymphatic system, so we have to be the pump. While we are locked up in quarantine we have to remember to keep moving to prevent us from rusting up. Not that we need to become cross fit super heroes, but dang, we still need to be able to walk, bend, sit, stand, and generally move.

If we don't do anything, there is a change that we could come out of this quarantine and try to do something that we used to be able to do, and then we could get hurt.

So along with physical fitness, I am starting to feel some real piece. When I get stressed, my body doesn't want to work properly. My insides get inflamed and nothing flows quite like it should..if you get what I'm saying. Well....not any more. After walking yesterday, and getting my insides flowing again...I feel atleast 30 pounds lighter!!! That is a sure sign that I am calming down.

I had a nice time sitting in the sun yesterday with my toes in the dirt. I found myself praying and meditating, and my mind settled and I could feel a familiar energy that I haven't felt in a while. I think my journey is back on the "right" path.
