Steemit Engagement Challenge - S7W1 | Economic Activity - Gas Refill, Study, Blogging, and other Purchases

It's the start of yet another season of the Steemit engagement challenge and the first one in 2023. I'm glad to be a continuous part of this project and for today I will be participating in an economic diary game hosted in the Steem Entrepreneurs community. Let me take you on a ride.

I got back to my city of residence recently after spending about two weeks in my village celebrating the festive season with my parents. For this Monday morning, it's a bit cold so decided to make some hot water for my bathe. Unfortunately, I didn't care much about how much cooking gas remained in the cylinder since I left last year.
The water was just about hitting the boiling point before I realized I have exhausted the cooking gas. I managed the water for my bath and stepped out later to get a refill for the cylinder. This took place at a local gas station with my 3kg gas cylinder.

The vendor was just alighting from his bike when I got there which makes me question him about his time of resuming business daily. According to him, he had just changed location which is a bit far and that affected him. I waited for him to open his shop and assisted him to move a few things.

I purchased 3kg of cooking gas which cost 2,300 NGN (32 STEEM). The payment was made via bank transfer and I left the shop.

At home, I made spiced spaghetti for my breakfast and after the meal, I rested for some time. At noon, I resumed my data analytics course where I performed some tasks that involves sorting and filtering data to make the data clean for further analysis.

There exist some internet interruptions during my study time which had me switched to other lines a few times. I eventually had a great study time and I'm closer to finishing up the third course which was "Prepare Data for Exploration" in the professional Google Data Analytics course. I stepped out at 16:30 to visit a nearby greengrocer and got some apples.

The apples cost 150 NGN per one and all four were sold for a total of 600 NGN (8.5 STEEM). I ate one of the apples while I kept the remaining in the refrigerator. At 17:30, I started reviewing the articles submitted in the Academy for the engagement challenge, to check for plagiarism and other abuses before I left the verification results on each of the entries. This went on for about an hour.
The rest of the day was utilized for further study and I watched a movie for about 30mins before I left all for the day and slept.

In conclusion, I started the day with the purchase of cooking gas even when I am not quite prepared for that due to improper monitoring of how long the gas could take me while studying, further purchases and blogging also appeared in the picture.

It's very annoying for one's gas to get finished at the same time he or she is cooking. There was a day that such a thing happened to me, and it was rice that I was cooking on that day. The food got spoiled since it was Sunday and people were still in their various churches.
The gas at your place is a little bit cheaper compared to how I fill gas at my place. We do fill 1 kg for 900 NGN. I am happy to see that you have sound knowledge in data analysis. It's the course that I am thinking of learning by the grace of God. I am tempted by the apple you ate. I love fruits so much, and apples are my favorite. Your day really went well, despite how your gas tried to stop you from cooking at the time you were boiling water. You still overcame it.

Yeah, it's an unpalatable event to have the gas finished half way while cooking or using it for other stuff...
Actually, it's 800 NGN per kg here but some kind of subsidy for 3kg had it rounded up to 2,300... Stuff like that is very common here.
