Thank God It's Friday. Hope all's well. Life's not too bad. No work today as it's a holiday. What did I do, nothing much. Just went on walks twice today. I was bored. I came to sit outside for close to 2 hours. There wasn't even a lot to see as the road isn't an often used road. Just about 1 person passes by every 15 or 20 minutes. Hopefully, the weekend won't be a bad one. Thank God for life so far though. All's well.

Thank God It's Friday is just a saying often used here.

I'm in manufacturing, I go to work for 6 days and I go off for 2, so sometimes , I go to work on Saturdays and Sundays.

Thanks for explaining, so your "weekend" are never on the same days and the expression is used for the last day of your working week.
