Yard Work And More
At the end of a hard day of work. It is nice to see some lights. Oh, forget about the hard day of work though. Ha
A visit again to the Cracker Barrel in our area. I have said before. There are many offerings for all of us here to relax and spend our money. And eating out is high on the list. lol
So I had raced out to the yard to get the rest of the sticks and pine cones picked up to get it ready for mowing.
I have 4 pine trees in the yard. After the storm. Pine cones are on the grass nearly everywhere. Ugh on that.
The sticks and pine cones have to picked up individually. That takes a lot of time. We have a big yard.
That is only the front part of our yard. You can see a corner of Pat's project on the right of the photo.
I filled two trash cans/bins. And a large contractors trash bag. (not shown)
And I still am not finished. I do have more contractors trash bags though. The trash people will be proud. Ha
These had to be watered. They were very dry.
The Bird Of Paradise had to be trimmed. Don't tell Pat.
She does not trust me with cutters around her flowers. lol
While I was working in the yard. Along came one of our nearly 100 year old neighbors on his tricycle.
Just pedaling along as he does nearly every day. He was an engineer by profession in his working career.
Fast forward to the evening. After we left Cracker Barrel. We stopped at Wawa. My favorite gas station.
They need to have the best or same price of course. Otherwise I patronize their competitors.
Now I know that you may not get as high with my work and post as you will with my best Steemit friend Rebecca's post. lol

But don't count me out just yet. I have to get the yard and garden work done before I can start showing you around our land of paradise where we now are living. I will keep a record of my labors on Steemit for you.
I have every intention of making Steemit my best and favorite project. I will be working on this for the rest of my life.
I am committed. Steemit will have to disappear for me to stop building and adding.
Come along with me and do what you can as well. If we all keep on working and adding.
One day we will all be very happy. Steemit will become a world known place to be for many peoples.

@francisk, Just look at all those lovely pine cones...they are beautiful!!! I'm getting really good with hot glue...LOL!
All joking aside, you should think about saving some for Christmas decorating.
P.S.: @knarly327 has had the hardest time recognizing some of my plants. He is very much like you in that he takes a lot of pride in caring properly for land, but he's mistakenly pulled out perennials thinking they are weeds. This year was the 4th time we've planted a butterfly bush. This year, he was with me when I bought it and he helped me to plant it. Now there is no mistaking it. :)

Thank you for stopping by my blog this evening. I really needed a little uplift. Sometimes it seems that we are just talking and posting to a wall. Ha
But, I know how to survive. It might not be pretty, but I do know. We do not want to do that though.
Just the way we have been working is good. We would like to keep it that way.

We just ate KFC. Not to bad but prefer what I call a "sit down place". A place where I get served not serve myself.

Chicken is good. Down here in Florida. Publix has good chicken. The prices for chicken is just a high priced as beef. I don't understand that though.

What fun is it if you can't ea out and if I remember correctly, that is the reasons my cousins like Florida too. That is a big lawn, Francis. Take your time and don't over do it. Nice photo of your neighbour. At least he's getting his exercise and not sitting like so many people do.
Yes. He gets good exercise . That is why warm weather is good. Older folks can get outside and move around.
That is always good. No ice to slip and fall on. Ugh on that. lol

My pine trees are not what I like in yard trees. They are OK in a forest. In a yard. The pine cones are a pain to deal with. Maybe I am just lazy. Ha
