Marmots in Austria (inkl. video)
On the first July weekend i visited a nice place in austria where you can take amazing pictures of marmots because they are not shy and used to humans there. Stefan and i decided to visit this place for the first time and we where lucky with the weather and the marmots where visible outside of their holes. We had to take a hiking tour on a mountain because marmots live in the mountains and you can encounter them on a higth between 1500 and 2500 meters from sea level.

Because they are pretty curious animals it doesn't take all to long to get them used to you and to steal their fear. If you are prepared and bring some food like carrots and apples they will like you immediately and as soon as they know you are not a thread for them they stay out of their holes for several minutes and you can easily take some nice pictures of them.
