Afaik the song is about Chuck Ragan`s grandfather.

But the beauty about music you often dont really need to know what the artists wanted to say as you can put your own thoughs and associations into a song and kind of make it your own.

    Chuck Ragan songs seems so soulfully really, amazing guitarist no doubt it's definitely something to really look at, I'll check YouTube for more videos, thanks for sharing

      I am not sure as I dont know Trusty Chords but I could find something associated with" hot water" so it is possible

      I think he was the singer for the band Hot Water Music back in the day. I'll look a little harder but that'd be cool. I like the song either way! Thanks for posting it
