As I checked my feed today I quickly realized todays trend

I thought the last days were some happy days.
Ned finally talked to us again and the price was rising quite a lot.
Good times
Today seems to be very different from this though.
The comment section is reaching from actually constructive to as troll toxic as possible.
As you probably heard Steemit.inc is in total power down modus because they got threatend by a hardfork proposal which wants to fork out their stake.
Several witnesses have announced they would not support such a fork and ask ned to stop the power down before he can bring his Steem into several other accounts or an exchange.
Some others I did not understand 100%, if they would only oppose such a fork if the power down stops.
But this would be like asking a hostage to hold your gun and keep itself hostage.
Apparently there has been negotiations off chain so the "normal" steemian probably does not know the full story as the information we are getting is a bit one sided so far.
My hopes are we hear from ned regarding this, my expectations are we won`t.
I am not sure if I would trust this much money on some statements, on or offchain, they won`t fork me out.
At the same time I am confused how easy ned gets spooked by just one github proposal and I guess there is more to it. But don`t forget the offchain discussions, maybe there were more things said why ned feels this is a real threat.
But if we starting to fork out stakes why not other people we are unhappy with?
How about haejin or bernie? I bet the votes would be at least close if we put them up.

It is almost funny how Steemit.inc gets credit for nothing. It seems they can only loose.
Am I happy with development by them? Hell no!
But the post that Hivemind is live is just 4 days old and people were loosing their shit over it.
Others claim the price is going up because of their power down. I really can`t see the correlation there.
I'm not sure the power down will stop..
I'm going to fork myself out.

Well, there is a benefit of Ned's power down. We will receive a bigger percentage of steem just by holding it in steem power. If Ned will power down everything we should receive almost double than we receive now.
Maybe that's why the price is growing, I see the most volume today, $8M is on Upbit, pair steem/krw, so Koreans are conquering steemit & we have to thank them!
I would get spooked myself if there would be a threat to lock my Sp from me @flipstar so I think @ned is just protecting his steem which is actually any normal person would do.
Nonetheless we are happy the steem price is reacting positively.
First they came for the socialists....
