Update #26, Chess League in Nueva Esparta - new competition schedule 2020

in #steemchess5 years ago (edited)

The 2019 brought us many surprises including those of this project that with a lot of effort we have put to walk between the account of @inteligentzia, my person and many more accounts with which I have been able to share ideas about Steem and about how to take this currency to all the corners of my country, this is only a beginning for everything that is coming in a few months, since my commitment is with the community and it will continue being this way

I have been able to contact the executives of the Venezuelan Chess Federation in order to establish Steem as one of the sponsors and I was also able to guide them to create an account at Steem and integrate it with Steempress in their website, that way they will have all the news of what the federation does in a simple and uncensored way having a portal where users can update themselves as well as have more exposure worldwide of the work being done.

I will talk more in depth about the calendar in the next update to expose the plans we have and how we are going to execute them

Also speaking of 2019, there is some remarkable news I would like to share

Gabriel Salazar stands out in Trinidad

Young Gabriel Salazar Olchowski has brilliantly managed to obtain the title of FIDE Master after finishing second at the Central American Under-20 Championship in Trinidad and Tobago. The talented player from Arauca scored 7 points out of a possible 9, in order to escort the Champion, Alan Safar-Ramoutar who with 7.5 managed to become the new International Master of Trinidadian chess. In third place there was a triple tie between the Trinidadian MFs Joshua Johnson and Isaiah Mc Intosh and the talented Jamaican athlete Rachel Miller with 6.5 points.

The event took place at the Velodrome in Couva and was attended by 29 athletes from 7 countries in the Caribbean and Central America. It was directed by the Trinitarian Roderick Noel and the Arbitration of the AI Rohan Whaite of Barbados, was organized by the Chess Association of Trinidad and Tobago and its enthusiastic president Ms. Sonja Johnson and is endorsed by FIDE.

Young MF Yeison Gutierrez won the IRT Rapid "Young Entrepreneurs and Workers" held in Caracas. The Caracas Master obtained 8 points out of a possible 9, CM Gerardo Marín was second with 7.5, and MF Mauricio Ramírez was in third place. 102 "trebejistas" participated, and he was sponsored by the enthusiastic chess player Santiago Restrepo.

Feliz Navidad!!
