"The water in Majorca don't taste like what it oughta?"

A reference to a Heineken advert in the link at the bottom of the page, but it was this phrase that opened my mind to the possibility that not all tap water is as clean as it could be. Approximately two years ago I started to filter any tap water I used and instantly saw a difference in the clearness of the filtered water, plus it just felt a lot better knowing that I had it filtered before consumption. I haven't carried out any research as to whether there are any objective points to why one should filter tap water, but I will at some point look into this. I just purchased a new water filter, and thought I would show the difference between conventional tap water versus filtered water. Lex my cat wanted to show me what time it was, so as soon as he's fed we'll carry on with post. ;-D

It's extremely difficult to see the mistiness of the glass, but upon closer inspection, one can see a whole eco-system swimming around inside this glass. Maybe it's the fluoride, but it looks like someone might have topped me up a little bit too much, if you catch my drift. ;-D

So, I cannot provide any scientific results to this water battle, but it's clear (forgive the pun) to see that there is a visible difference as the filter patently works, but what's left after the filtering, is there anything extracted that is actually of benefit to us? Worthy of further investigation for a future post I believe. Here's the link to the Heineken advert, it's British humour, so you might get it, you may not. ;-D
