WITH BEER THERE IS NO SADNESS

Yesterday I decided to spend the rainy Sunday afternoon stirring photos of the last two years of my life, and a couple of things caught my attention.
One was the amount of sunset photos I found, thousands of photos, from different parts of Uruguay with a million shades of oranges, reds, pinks, a variety of incredible warm palettes.
However, this detail did not have as much impact as the following. I noticed that I have more than 200 photos drinking beer somewhere in my country.

BEER BOOM

This last years the new trend about brewing beer has arrived to Uruguay, you can buy for about US$ 500 a basic kit to start brewing your own beer.
This has made many people take the initiative to undertake a related project, and in the same way has brought with it a level of quality that is amazing.
Many big brands, Bizarra, Cabesas bier, Davok, Mist, and many more, with a huge variety, blond ale, IPA, EPA, breakfast stout, Irish red, and many other special editions.

Every photo has transported me to the moment and place where I take them, many of them with friends, many of them alone, but there was always a reason and an unequaled enjoyment. I have acquired a spice of vice where going out to ride a bicycle and ending up in a bar seems to release a lot of endless endorphins.
During the summer I work in a Krishna restaurant located about 30km from my house, and the simple fact of going out in my nike, make a stop in the middle of the route to have a beer, and then repeat the process on the way back, made my trip to work a time of the day which I long to reach.

ALL DAY BEER

Finally one of the best delights you can get here in Uruguay, an amazing Uruguayan brew beer, accompanied by a weed harvested by yourself, totally organic and natural.
We are fortunate to be the first South American country to have legalized recreational marijuana use back in 2014, any person with nationality or residence, can apply for a cultivator's permit.
In my case it has already become a habit and planting during the summer to have an incredible quality flowers is basically a fact.
In another post I will explain more about the subject of self-cultivation, and some of what my plantations have been in recent years.
For now I leave you with one more pic, and very eager to go out and take a cold beer.

Less bla bla bla, more glu glu glu.

Sort:

Nice article. I just got started brewing my own beer as well. The first batch turned out pretty good! Second batch will be done carbonating tomorrow and then its drinking time. First one I tried as a lager, but since I don't really have anything to control the temperature besides a refrigerator I decided to brew the second one as an ale, so we'll see how that turns out. Currently have ~2 gallons fermenting, should be able to bottle it in a few weeks.

Its even cheaper to get into in America. About ~$150 got me all the equipment I needed (1 gallon kit) and a 5 gallon recipe.

Thats awesome man, congrats for your firsts beers, I'd love to try them lol. It is indeed much cheaper over there, and I guess you can also buy the recipes almost ready to make it right? You should make a post with all the brewing process, teach us master, and thanks for reading.

I always write in two languages and usually named the post with the exact name. But a couple of days ago I start to change it lol, thanks for passing by.
