Coinbase Custody Exploring New Crypto-Assets Including STEEM—Let's Tweet Our Request To Add STEEM!
Earlier today Coinbase tweeted about exploring new crypto assets including STEEM. The list has a few shitcoins in it but I'm happy to see some good blockchain projects including Steem and it's currency STEEM.
According to their blog:
Coinbase Custody is exploring the addition of many existing and forthcoming crypto assets for storage only, and will be working to add them as quickly and safely as possible. At this time, we have not yet considered these assets for trading. We are making this announcement internally at Coinbase and to the public at the same time to remain transparent with our customers about support for future assets.
Coinbase Custody is a custodial service for institutional clients optimized for storing large amounts of cryptocurrency in a highly secure way. As we’ve stated before, Coinbase Custody will likely support more assets than those available to trade through other Coinbase products.
Asset additions to Coinbase Custody have no bearing on whether they will be added to other Coinbase products. Asset additions for trading must pass our Digital Asset Framework.

Please remember that tweeting to their handle might not do much it will at the very least show our excitement towards STEEM. Enthusiasm for STEEM on Steemit and Steem blockchain based dapps are great but we need to show this excitement in other social media platforms also.

Yes I have read about this today, it’s good that Coinbase are putting all of these coins to buy, but I have been wondering why is this great news?
Is it just because Coinbase is the easiest and most used platform for purchase crypto and having such a big audience means the price of cryptos could shoot up due to increased buyers?
I am just wondering how Coinbase adding all of these extra coins will affect anything? If they add steem to Coinbase, do you think the price of steem will jump?
Or maybe it’s just showing more popularity for coins?

Coinbase listing will ensure greater visibility for sure. Crypto works a lot on hype more than anything else so it can mean only good things for STEEM hodlers. :)
Yeah, this is great. I actually got the news very early this morning and this is quite exciting. What's weird is that their are some coins that I didn't really ever expected to be considered by coinbase to be explored custody. I guess we can call them shit coins ......
I never really thought of making some noise using other social media accounts. I don't use twitter or facebook but I guess to this for Steem I will specially make an account :-)
