PC vs console - Why are PCs (not) better?
PC vs console
What can a console do that a pc can't? A console's user experience is better.
- PCs are slightly technical, consoles are straightforward.
- PCs gamers sit by corner of a room or a small room, console gamers are in a wide room sitting on a couch.
- PC gamers' eyes take more damage due to the screen being closer while a console gamer sits far away from the screen.
My eyes aren't as healthy as they used to be. I get immersively lost in a different world though I'm at the corner of a room, but that's not for everyone. I'm okay with technical stuff because I like learning techy stuff, but most of my friends need my help when they want to run any non-AAA games.
PC gamers often need to battle against their own system by cleaning their windows registry, malfunctioning drivers that were just released, background browser "features" taking up cpu and memory, not to mention the basics like protecting against viruses.
Even so, I love the freedom and variety PC has to offer. For me, it surpasses any issue by a lot. Customization via mods and settings, indie games, fangames, games good for mouses like real time strategy wargames and tycoon simulators, browser games, mmorpgs, etc.

I like both and they each have their advantages and disadvantages but the PC will always be my favorite. That's been true since I had a Commodore 64.
I was a console gamer up until Playstation 1. Then I discovered the indie and modding communities and never looked back. I tried to, but it just wasn't for me anymore.
I don't have a console in my house. But I don't like giant screens. For this reason, I prefer computer instead of watching movies in cinema. I can concentrate better on small screens, such as computer screens.

Preferably PC, but the eyes like also often look into the distance. Therefore I look from the window into the distance.
I will start doing that more often.
