Achievement 2 @fatsalba Task : Basic Security on Steem

A warm greeting to whoever comes across this and takes time to read it. I will be taking my time and explaining what I have understood regarding the keys. During my time on this platform (which isn't a long time) I have tried my best to retain all information and the knowledge provided on the platform regarding keys.

I understand that there are multiple keys and they need to protected at all times since they are usually the only way of accessing one's account. There are multiple keys provided such as: 

Private key: This is probably the most important key, as it is the key that will help a user perform functions like, powering up and down, transferring funds, update profile details, place market orders, make an avatar and, also vote for witness. 

Posting key: This is a general key. It is used for logging in, posting stuff, editing it, resteeming it, voting for stuff and, commenting on other people's posts. It is however not able to have complete access like the private key as to avoid any damage to the account and also decreases the chances of hacking. 

Private Owner key: This is also an important key. It is used to recover all the other keys if the user has lost the keys and isn't able to find them. This key will help recover all the other keys. It is also used in encryption and decryption of memos when funds are being transferred. 

Private Memo key: It is the key that encrypts messages and also converts documents while transferring funds. 

Now let's get to answering the compulsory questions 

 Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit? 

Yes, I have received all of my keys. 

Do you know each of the keys and their functions? 

Yes, after reading the articles on the website where they described the functions of different keys, I can say that I know the functions of all of the keys provided. 

How do you plan to keep your master password?  

I have copied it on a work notebook, put it on my hard drive as a file, and, sent it to my email and favorited it to keep it on top. 

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem account? 

Yes, I am well aware of how I can do that.

1- First, I need to login to my steem wallet using my username and  my active key.

2- Then I should click the arrow beside my steem token balance option and select to transfer.

3- After that I will need to write the username of the recipient and also the amount to transfer.

4- After I have done all that the transfer should be don and the process is successful. 

Do you know how to power your steem? 

I understand that steem is in liquid form so I just need to build up my steem power.

1- I will first log in to my account. Then I will click the arrow beside my steem token balance and click power up.

3- Then write the amount that I want to power up.

4- Then I will confirm the transfer by clicking power up and if it is done the way I demonstrated I will have successfully powered up my steem.
