Hey everyone!
I'm Ben, aka Panda. I'm a serial entrepreneur that's currently doing web design for Fat Panda Design and working on my side project, CoinPanda.io
I love web design, cryptocurencies, and recently, I discovered that I LOVE storytelling (and am actually pretty decent at it, from what I've been told!)
I'm a 25 year old guy who is location independent i.e. i'm a "digital nomad". I can work, earn money, and travel the world as I please :)
I'm currently hanging out in Chiang Mai, Thailand and am working on obtaining my 12 month student Visa to learn Mandarin, Chinese!
I'm spending a lot of time lately writing - so a buddy suggested that I join the Steemit community.
I'm also a recovering heroin addict. In 2 days, I celebrate 6 months being clean. <3

@fatpandadesign Very super big congrats on being 6 months sober. Lost my sister in law last year to a heroine overdose. She was only 25.
Keep it up. Keep steeming.

Thank you so much. It's been a hell of a battle - lost a lot of relationships, a lot of mental struggle with it, and a lot of days where you just want to say "fuck it" and use.
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's absolutely devastating what this heroin epidemic is doing to society. It's ravaging families, cities, and spreading like wildfire.
I wish that each country and government/local politicians did more to help spread awareness, first-responder training, needle-exchanges, access to clinics and detox/rehab facilities, housing, etc. Instead of the drug wars being waged across the world - total bullshit and only perpetuating the problem.

Heroine is a bad bad bad epidemic if that's what you want to call it. Especially when laced with Fentanyl (drug that killed Prince.)
I don't know you but can say I'm proud of you. Keep it up. I know it hard and you wanna toss up your hands and say fuck it. I've been addicted to drugs before (never heroine) and the return to sobroety phase is always hard. But the road with heroine is an altogether different one. She was clean also for 6 months. ...
I think I'm going to do a blog on this.
Anyway, i have known of fat panda designs bevause I'm into art and have friends who are into digital design. I don't know that much about it. But when i saw your account i was like gee, hope that person is actually associated with FPD. LOL. Bevause if not was gonna suggest a friendly change of name lol

Haha, thank you! It took me an entire week, going through names I'd scratched down on a pad, to finally decide between this one and another I had in mind.
And now, for the past 20 months, Fat Panda has been the mascot for everything I do! Everyone in my life practically knows me as "that panda guy" now :P
