Steife Koralle ■ Strict-branch coral

Ramaria stricta

Sehr zahlreich konnte ich die Steife Koralle in den vergangenen Tagen entdecken. Selbst im Rosengarten von Wertheim findet man diesen Pilz direkt am Fußweg. Meine Aufnahme stammt jedoch aus dem nahen Buchenwald im Himmelreich. Dort habe ich den Pilz an einem abgestorbenen Baumstamm entdeckt. Um das Licht etwas freundlicher und weicher zu gestalten, habe ich mit einem LED-Licht und einem Diffusor die Schatten aufgehellt. So tritt der Pilz besser in den Vordergrund und der Hintergrund wird etwas dunkler.

Very numerously I could discover the stiff coral in the past days. Even in the rose garden of Wertheim you can find this mushroom directly at the footpath. However, my picture was taken in the nearby beech forest in the "kingdom of heaven". There I discovered the mushroom on a dead tree trunk. In order to make the light a little friendlier and softer, I brightened the shadows with an LED light and a diffuser. So the mushroom steps better into the foreground and the background becomes a little darker.

Herbst-Lorchel ■ White saddle

Helvella crispa

Herbstlorchel kann ich meistens an feuchteren Stellen direkt am Wegrand entdecken. Für mich als Makrofotograf ist es besonders reizvoll den Stiel zu durchleuchten. Wenn die Sonne tief steht braucht es dazu manchmal noch nicht mal künstliches Licht. Bei meiner Aufnahme habe ich eine Taschenlampe zu Hilfe genommen. Im Umfeld gab es viel Bewuchs, so dass ich mit den Variationsmöglichkeiten eingeschränkt war und nur von einer Seite fotografieren konnte. Unschöne Zweige und Blätter habe sich natürlich entfernt, so weit es meiner Aufnahme zuträglich war. So vermeide ich eine Zeitaufwendige Bearbeitung meiner Bilder. In der Hinsicht, bin ich etwas fauler wie einige meiner Kollegen, die wahre Meisterwerke in Photoshop kreieren 🤔

I can usually white saddle in more humid places directly on the roadside. For me as a macro photographer it is especially attractive to examine the stalk. When the sun is low it sometimes doesn't even need artificial light. I used a flashlight to take my picture. In the surroundings there was a lot of vegetation, so that I was limited with the variation possibilities and could photograph only from one side. Unsightly twigs and leaves were naturally removed, as far as it helped my shot. Thus I avoid a time-consuming treatment of my pictures. In that respect, I'm a bit more lazy than some of my colleagues who create true masterpieces in Photoshop 🤔

Spaltblättling

Schizophyllum commune

Ganz ohne künstliches Licht habe ich diesen kleinen Winzling an einem Buchenstamm fotografiert. Erst in der Vergrößerung meiner Makrofotografie wird deutlich, dass auch er optisch einiges zu bieten hat. Fotografiert habe ich nach unten auf den Boden. So bildet der Waldboden mit seinen Herbstblättern den passenden Hintergrund zu meinem Motiv.

Completely without artificial light I photographed this little tiny creature on a beech tree trunk. Only in the enlargement of my macro photography it becomes clear that it has a lot to offer optically. I have photographed downwards on the ground. Thus the forest soil with its autumn leaves forms the suitable background to my motive.
