Toughest Task Of A Teacher During This Pandemic, Finally Done!(Quarter1)

Hello friends, I got something for you today. My fears, life lessons, and a few requests.

Whenever I pass by in a certain area where I live, either on my way to work or on my way home, this place under the shade of a big Acacia tree, never a time lost a crowd. I do not know what is in then because there's no set time for these people to assemble around. May it be early morning, late afternoon and even if it's getting dusk, someone is still in there. In short, it's their most favored place to enjoy the fun with.

So I am getting familiar with the faces of those people who frequently stay there. Though I do not know their names, you know, whenever I pass by, I just go straight to where I'm supposed to, yet every time our eyes meet we always greet each other with a smile. Perhaps because I am a schoolteacher, and some of their relatives or children have become my students as well, that they feel cozy to smile at me and indeed call me by name. We appear close to each other, though we are not.

There are days actually, not just once, but quite a few times I have also been told, though not directly, "wow! how lucky the teachers are these days, children do not come to school, yet their salary goes on." The former seems just want me to hear it, but I sensed what he wants to tell me straight is, "you do nothing these days, but you still get paid!"

As usual, I was just silent and just smiling back at them. These people don’t know that our work is noway- ending. Just that this situation makes it less demanding because "mam and sir" do not have students to attend to in person. But our paper works are piled up indeed more than, that I bring it home so frequently.

Not only that, demonstration teaching is still observed too. Yes, perhaps some do not know, we still have our demo teaching even without students. And for me, this is the most thorny of all the tasks given to us teachers. At least for me. I don’t know if it’s true to others too.

It was only last Thursday that my demonstration piece was eventually delivered. For me, the situation now is tougher because our fellow teachers are the ones acting as our students during the process. You truly can not negate your fear when you're in front of those experts. Indeed, when readying the PowerPoint presentation, I can roughly snooze doing it. I did it all night time with adept care that I will not make a misstep. Experts will be observing me by day, what I'll go through isn't a joke then.
Plus not just some, but everyone in our department will be my audience during the demonstration. It's not that simple when you're in front being minded by your fellow Math teachers.

So my request is, please whoever can stop this pandemic... please do it so soon. I would preferably have face-to-face classes than continue being like this. Many people in my locality have thought a schoolteacher's life is easy teaching this way. Yet we're having a hard time too. Just like you do.
