Buying new sunglasses and losing Trevor while vlogging in the park.
I got a notice in the mail today that it was time to go for my yearly eye checkup by my local specs selling company called: Pearl.
I remember the first time I went there.
Subtitles on the TV became harder and harder to read and driving a car in the rain at night was a nightmare. I used to see triple headlights. I was a danger to myself and others no doubt.
I went to have my eyes measured at this company. And it wasn't even that bad. Like 0.5 each side back then.
I remember the moment they put the same goggles on my head as they did today. And It was literary like seeing the world again for the first time.
SHARP.
I bought glasses the very same day. A normal pair and sunglasses.
The normal pair has been upgraded many times. But my sunglasses are still the same from all those years ago.
I have no problem with that but my better half has been on a crusade to try to modernize me.
Today I caved.
Welcome to the paradox of choice. This is the exact same reason I don't enjoy looking for a Windows laptop for a client. Too much choice.
But unlike laptops I have Bianca to tell me wich sunglasses I like. This is the one I like apparently. I don't mind I only have to look through them.
Everywhere I go now I tell the people that I encounter that I write stories and would like to take pictures. I have never gotten a single bad reaction. This time was no exception. It's always fun.

The specs will be ready in a week. Of course, I was famished after all that trouble so we went for the most Dutch food I can think off. Raw herring. The new catch for this year just arrived. It's delicious and healthy.
I got home and Trevor was ready for his walk. Walking with Trevor and vlogging is a really bad idea I learned today. While not paying attention to him much because I was talking about my voting experience after the Hard Fork I lost sight of him. This starts at @4:54. Bianca makes an appearance too.
Then it was time to relax. The Green egg will arrive soon. So I'm firing up the trusty Weber for 2 more days as a goodbye to the loyal guy. It will be passed on to someone else with the permission of it's previous owner who passed it on to me. @s3rg3.
My dad was there too. He's going up North tomorrow again. We had a lovely healthy meal in Line with Bianca's new diet. She is doing so well and I'm very proud of her.

Great explanation of where the extra rewards were coming from. I know it was intended to increase your voting power by 4 and wondered where all the extra rewards were coming from. This has been a great opportunity to show some friends and co-workers how incredible Steemit is and help grow the community and help people at the same time. A few dollars for a post doesn't have the same effect as showing someone a post or comment that's made $5, $10, $20 or more. The larger earnings are more palpable. HF 19 has been a smashing success and I believe will open the eyes of many more people to show how Steemit can benefit their lives. They'll come in for the $$ but soon find out Steemit has much, much more to offer them to enrich their lives.
PS: I do like the sunglasses, Bianca chose well! :)

I had the exact same experience. I felt like superman when I put on my new glasses and could see properly again. By the way, food just looks better in the Netherlands. Happy grilling!

I'll take your word for it :). I think we did. I live in Ukraine for much of the time and didn't used to like Borch, the national beetroot soup, but now I love it, so tastes can change.
The food is making me hungry haha.
