Quality โ Content Creation for Newcomers ๐
Hey People
Today I saw a lot of posts about content creation, which cover similar topics and that I appreciated very much. They basically cover appropriate approaches and behavior rules for newcomers to the platform and the steemit ecosystem in general. Since I will be traveling soon and planned on getting involved in content creation even before I knew about steemit, I thought a good amount about it and consumed informational material. Therefore these articles really caught my attention.

First off, let me say that these post are great and thanks to @purepinay @thi-js and @surfermarley ๐ . I guess and from what I can read between the lines this has not been in issue only since yesterday. But as more and more people are coming to the platform - as I did just recently - it seems to get more complex and annoy some oldtimers. So, thank you it's really cool to understand the concepts behind the steem community and also learn about new aspects of the platform.
I would like to add something to the discussion which I felt was not necessarily been talked about enough or at least it was not clear for me. I understand that people are also here to earn dollars and I am totally amazed by the stories of people having a chance of eating enough and coming out of poverty. It is MINDBLOWING. So I also do have some empathy for the people who are spamming and trying to somehow get dollars quickly. Not everyone has the means to make professional photos, knows how to write well or give good and interesting speeches.
Nonetheless I think the point which I have not seen as much in the comments or the articles is the fact, that you are able to create
the art you enjoy
This is one major privilege of this platform. You get to choose completely or at least to a certain degree. It does not have to be art like painting. It can also be talking about subjects like cryptocurrency. But then this becomes your art. As content creators I think it would be cool to focus also on the fact that you create content because you like it. Because your are interested in the topics your are talking about. Or at least you are mixing it up and are also talking about topics you care about. This will automatically up the quality. I imagine that this also leads to more people being interested in what you have to say because you really know what you are talking about and you can bring it into light in an authentic manner. At lease this is the vibe I get from many posts that are trending. I am not saying no one touches upon this topic but I read a lot of articles and haven't seen so much about it.
Suggestion
When you come to this platform it is really confusing and even if you read the introduction and everything you still do not really know what's going on. I see many people welcoming newbies to the platform which is great. It really helped and made me feel welcome. It was seriously a good feeling. So maybe it would be a good idea for people who own welcome accounts etc. to put a link containing the concepts explained in the posts above. I think this could help to convey the right attitude from the get. Of course this will not lead to nobody spamming anymore but it might put a little dent into it and make the community and the platform a more friendly place.
Of course it's easy for me to say someone else should to this, but if the welcoming accounts do this anyways it might not be extra work for them. ๐
I just thought the ideas presented were super interesting and wanted to add the perspective and ideas of a newcomer to it. You are more than welcome to give feedback and take it apart!
really liked your writing. you are right, nit everyone fits for the platform...eventually, those who do not create quality will leave the site because no one will vote them and will get nothing. However, it gets annoying to see copy-pastings and copy-replies. Git my follow! see u around!

Time will address the situation I hope...I'm thinking on travelling for some months backpackin in central america or maybe to Mongolia hitchhiking yes! And i want to showcase the trips here as well as my blog :)

Content creation is fun but if people are trying to make money it becomes all about maximizing the utility of the system, in which case bots get involved and quality content always suffers a lot.
i dont understand everything yet, just messing around with all the features. but you definitely see if someone put real effort in their post or not.

thanks man! i guess i will upload it on dsound and dtube. recording the first episode tomorrow if everything goes right. it will be with @flauwy. check him out. he makes great tutorials and has deep insights. he was one of the top 50 earners on the steemit ecosytem last month.

I think this is one of the biggest challenges that Steemit faces. You can join Twitter and understand it almost. fully after watching a ten minute video. Explaining the relationship between Steem, SBD, and SteemPower to newbies is a challenge in and of itself, let alone the rest of the platform.
Stay patient newbies! It'll all make sense soon!

Hey! I am also really excited about the concept itself. I absolutely agree - whether you talk about paintings or cryptocurrency, if you do a post well, it's like a piece of art. The people who take this seriously put a lot of creative input and effort, which is amazing!
